Those people are like the top 0.1% of the human species in athletics, they would be strong and talented no matter what.
Those "0.1%" improved relative to their own performance after switching to plant based diets.
But good luck fielding hundreds of thousands of those humans as a backbone for your army.
Well, that's what the Gladiators were, plant based. And the Army they formed under Spartacus did pretty well. So yea, please, give me an army of Gladiators with rifles. Not only would they be total beasts on the battlefield, my bean+barley logistics would be so much better.
it just takes a lot more planning to find and create a vegan diet most people actually can follow.

Indian vegan food is delicious and i prefer it over western european meat food.
I'm not a fan of Indian food. Their flavors are too weird for my Pakistani taste. But like I said, I'm not 100% vegan. 5 days a week on a vegan diet though is totally manageable. You should try it yourself for a few months. It does take a lot of planning to switch over, but it's worth it for the environment + fitness.
