Foreign JV share dropping to 10%? I don't see it happening tbh. That would mean many JVs are actually destroyed, instead of just downsizing

To really destroy the larger JVs, Chinese carmakers need a full lineup that is coherent and competitive. With the exception of BYD (and maybe Changan/Chery far behind), this isn't the case with Chinese automakers. And it doesn't seem to be improving

Most Chinese car brands have at most one or two hit models, and the rest are not really competitive. This leaves a lot of room for JVs to adjust since they have a wide range of models they can choose to bring in

More EVs heading to Brazil. BYD is doing really well there and without launch its cheapest Seagull model. It will need to wait for more dealers and RoRo capacity before it can launch more models there. Too much potential demand and not enough logistical capacity to deliver to customers

Is byd going to rent more RoRo capacity from hyundai glovis?

How good is the Xiaomi EV? I thought it looked really awesome. Its releasing today.

I think Xiaomi could become a big EV maker with their software tech features and premium look and feel.

A lot of Chinese commentators think it will do badly because it'll be too expensive (20+w) compared to competitors like Galaxy E8 and Zeekr 007

But I think it will do well because Xiaomi has a strong brand name and good styling
