HW expecting huge boost in orders from P70, 50% gain in fact. Huge boost for entire domestic supply chain
Omnivision is a huge winner here
A semiconductor equipment industry practitioner on Weibo said there is a person named tphuang. To people in the English speaking world. Providing information on the development of the domestic semiconductor equipment industry has created unnecessary trouble for the development of the domestic industry. The situation that Europe and America did not originally understand is now fully understood. Some people say that this harms China's national security interests.

Well for start all the information the people post is based on public information so if is a national security problem then shouldn't be public to begin with.

Second, if people have the bravery of reading all the Think Tanks "research" related to China and semiconductors without wanting to jump from a tall bridge, you will find out that all of this bulling in part of the stooges in D.C. is narrow down to a perception of weakness, that is why these stooges have this fixation with lithography because is one of those areas than China shows more weakness. They don't attack etching equipment who is probably is as important as lithography to make chips because China shows more strength in that area. Is probably that all the public information that has coming out related for example the future "28nm" scanner and other development that have occurred in the past years have made the Stooges in D.C. to rethink and not to increase their controls down to 90nm.

Third, all the unnecessary problems for the Chinese semiconductor industry was caused by the industry itself, if these industrialists and trade liberals had recognized the position that China is with export controls and started to localize at least the mature nodes and less critical ICs, equipment, components, materials and EDA-software would have put the stooges in D.C in a much weaker position were any ban on advanced nodes would have leave Western companies with 0 Chinese market share and Chinese companies with better foundation to take over the entire market in a very short time.

This information has been made public... it is not worthy of condemnation... Tphuang is just one of those who posted public information... it is not related to "national security"...
For example, next year, Hisilicon will launch NIL lithography machine, could this be related to "national security"?

I'd love to see who this person is. People can probably see I don't post anything related to semiconductor manufacturing equipments unless it's commenting on NAURA or AMEC reporting they have increased their sales on earnings call or responding to a Western article on something. All stuff you can find out just by following publicly listed stocks. If they are concerned about me commenting about these things, then maybe they should de-list themselves or not do quarterly earnings report.

For example, I don't post sensitive topics like domestic lithography machines at all. I don't post things like what domestic machines they are missing in the Finfet process. I protect my actual sources and keep thing vague with comments like "don't worry about it, it's not a problem"

If they are uncomfortable about me posting that Huawei phones are using K9000S or Omnivision CIS, then there is nothing I can do about this, since this is something you can do a teardown of Huawei phone to see.

Think tanks that advocate greater restriction are going to do so regardless.

I just want to say. TPHuang has attracted the attention of practitioners in the Chinese semiconductor equipment industry. No other meaning. I don't deny what he did.
