The War in the Ukraine

Hard to unlearn 20 years of "modern warfare experience" fighting such advanced adversaries that are professionally trained in goat herding and farming. You know those Taliban uses AK47s, that's basically fighting the Russian conscript right? Since they use Russian guns.

When they lose to the Taliban with the heaviest weapon being a Toyota pickup, how did you think they were going to do vs professional Russians with artillery and air support?

What Russian air support? Russian air force won't operate behind enemy even when Ukrainian SAM coverage isn't anywhere near perfect nor are they opposed by any large air corce flying western planes.

We've seen how professional Russian military is doing and it can barely hold it's own against Ukrainian military whats mostly not professional.

The Ukrainan army has the same roots as Russia , means if they are not professional then
1. The whole NATO training in the past 8 years worth nothing
2. The trained soldiers die.

Whic his your prefered option ?

6th Artillery Regiment of the RuAF has taken the high ground around Bahkmut and shelling positions. Artyomovosk is the Russian name for Bakhmut. These kinds of videos are telling about the location of the source of the video. Evidently not a drone, and taken from a high position at an angle, meaning new positions in highlands near and around Bakhmut.

Russian incendiary bombs now hitting Ukrainian positions at Ugledar.

I dont think it is ukrainian that used COIN tactics. They are used to Russian strategy. Likely it was the American PMC.

Interview with a British volunteer in Ukraine.

"This american soldier had three tour of Iraq and four of Afghanistan but he didn't like it when the enemy had bigger guns than him, so he went home!"

Full interview here:

So "veteran" US soldiers ran from the battlefield while unexperienced recruits were the ones who stuck around?

I need to save this video as proof for the the next time an America here claims the PLA would fare badly against the US because they are less "experienced".

Not sure if it's better to stuck and die... the interesthing thing is that they seems they are going to the front to do their job with what they have in hands. Support look practically unavailable for them and nothing said about rotations or reinforcements. Don't wait for upgrades or help, look like a one way trip...

We don't have that many interview with Ukrainian that deserted, we have a couple with mercenaries. We have some video of infuriated troops video against the chain of command. Would be interesting to compare Kraken units situation to newly mobilized.

Big mistake in training. Thought of the Wagner PMC like a Taliban like force. Except they had artillery, air support, ATGMs and tanks. By @milchronicles.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are suffering heavy losses in Bakhmut due to the NATO COIN tactics. What does it mean?

The servicemen of the 71st, 58th and 53rd brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who were captured in early and mid-November near Bakhmut say that the training course in the UK and on the territory of Ukraine, with the support of instructors from the USA, Canada and Australia, was not designed for intense battles and harms the Ukrainian infantry.

Another possibility is that the Ukrainians are using excuses to cover up their incompetence. Is this another pressure tactic to force NATO to fight their wars for them?
