Protect Israel and Saudi from what exactly? You think Iran is going to invade the entire Persian Gulf and Levant? I doubt they are even capable under obvious Arab/Israeli constant air superiority.

If America concentrates its forces in the Pacific I doubt anything bad happens to her allies. The worst may be Russia posturing more in Ukraine, and to America the Ukrainians losing more land to Russia is worth the exchange for eliminating China.

China should always base her assumptions on worst case scenarios, that is, the full force of the USA, Australia, NZ, Canada, UK, India, Japan, Vietnam be brought to her shores/seas/skies/land combined.
I agree, the anglo-settler nations are a formidable threat when put together, possibly greater than any threat China has ever seen. Hopefully in the future they drift away from each other culturally

Israel's air force is irrelevant if its airfields are in ruins. Hezbollah is right against the northern border of the Jewish country -- with, it is said, more than 100,000 missiles. That is more than enough to destroy all the airfields and most of Israel's infrastructure.

Iran has a lot of missiles too, and is perfectly capable of using them to wreck the oil system of Saudi Arabia, thereby crashing the European economy.

In the end, Iran and Iranian allies like Hez will have the last word in the Middle East -- unless the US concentrated on the Persians. But if the US did that, how could it possibly protect Taiwan at the same time?

All the Anglo countries are thousands of kilometers from mainland China. When attacking the East Asian country, the Anglo supply lines will span the globe and will be cut with ease.

In addition, as @gelgoog has said, China will have huge advantages from her defensive position. For the Anglos to win, they'll have to be at least two or three times stronger than the Middle Kingdom. That isn't possible -- not even now, and China will be stronger ten years from now.

America will fight to death with China just for Taiwan. That never happened.

F-CK submarine. The US does not produce any diesel submarines.
I think you know well enough that Taiwan is getting help from multiple countries in building the submarines, including Japan which obviously does have experience in producing SSKs.

As for the US, they have experience of building submarines generally so their assistance is still valuable. More importantly they are providing key systems that Taiwan cannot make. From the reports available, these are reasonably decent components compared to what was made available for the IDF (e.g. the disappointing amount of thrust on the Honeywell engines).

Writing the project off before the first submarine has even been floated is daft.
