So here's some real military news update regarding Taiwan's armed forces:
The new Tuo-Chiang class corvette Ta-Ching has formally entered ROCN service on July 27. According to the Taiwanese navy, not only does Ta-Ching mark the first small-sized vessel in ROCN service with anti-air capabilities, the new Ta-Chiang is also expected to achieve full combat capabilities starting next month. Due to the new practice of outsourcing component manufacturing to private companies, Ta-Chiang is able to enter service 5 months earlier than the original estimated date.
A new highlight is that the new HC-2N AA missiles are equipped with thrust-vectoring rocket boosters to increase its maneuverability.
According to ROCN officials the ROCN aims to build six additional vessels of the same class before 2023.
