Haikun submarine has been embroiled in another scandal:

During its second surface test on June 26, 2025, the main hydraulic system completely failed, rendering the X-shaped stern rudder unable to turn. The crew had to line up inside the stern rudder compartment and operate the mechanical linkages and gears using a "human relay crank" method, with each person rotating shifts after exhaustion. The entire operation relied on two tugboats to control the bow and prevent collisions.
I love how this news came out 2 weeks ago, but this forum considers the project so unserious that comments were only made a week ago…

This is from October but I didn’t see it posted here so I thought I would share. On October 26th a Taiwanese CM-11 track malfunctioned causing the center guide gear to fly out causing passing cyclists to fall injuring 6
