Despite the challenges, Huawei HiSilicon recently announced that it is continuing to recruit for the 2021 PhD graduates.

Recruiting is open to new PhD candidates who graduated between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2021 from universities at home and abroad, and will be based in major Chinese cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Wuhan, Xi'an, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Nanjing, and Suzhou.

In the job postings, the chip category includes chip architecture engineer, processor development engineer, computing theory and model research institute, ASIC design engineer, and advanced semiconductor process development engineer.
Research jobs include storage algorithm engineers, security engineers, AI algorithm engineers, and more.
System jobs include network technology research engineer, system engineer.


Hardware jobs include RF system engineer, hardware technology engineer.
Software jobs include chip software architecture engineer.

Guys, this whole talk of 7nm vs 14nm is yesterday's debate.

The future is cloud processing. With 5g, you DON'T need local cpu power anymore. Who cares about 7nm vs 14nm when all your processing is going to happen on a cloud mainframe?

Exactly, need to think outside the box here. The only application that you probably need a cpu is for like high end gaming. Since there is lag, but thats a niche market for PC.

What do you do on your smart phone that cannot be streamed?

I am almost 130% sure it isn't euv. The US would not allow it. Plus EUV cost 100 milloon dollar. The price quoted was 11 million.
China just needs 28nm res litho machine for year 2021, this is absolutely 100% certain with SMEE machines. From then on forward the momentum will carry it into 14nm, 7nm nodes by various methods (multi pattern, N+1,+2..) and Newer machines every year, for sure.

Yup , help is coming, at least it doesnt order more US equipment. After all had said and done, its time to work and show your prowess. SMIC, HUAWEI and SMEE :cool: jia you!!!!!
