MAGAs haven't but people on Chinese social media are. People already angry that they don't stay in China. Are they still Chinese nationals?
PS They definitely are. Why haven’t the MAGAs deported them?

Someone pathetic cannot deport overwhelming gods just like you won't poke Fallen Empires as a Stone Age civilization in Stellaris. Are they still Chinese nationals?

Just a bunch of stupid and jealous people; who cares about them? Chinese math environment is not good at all; some people return and go again. The Chinese need to reform their academic environment.MAGAs haven't but people on Chinese social media are. People already angry that they don't stay in China.
You only can improve the environment with time. Only when China is rich that basic natural sciences (not just math) will develop. Nowadays, the country can only afford research that bring money fast, which is not Yu Deng or Hong Wang style (not to say their work is not useful but we have to wait a long time for their research to bring "practical" values)Just a bunch of stupid and jealous people; who cares about them? Dude, will you sacrifice your own future/career and family well being for your country? lol. I’m asking honestly. I can tell you that people who will do that are 1 in a million or even 1 in ten million. lol So I see no reason why you should expect this young Chinese to do so. Most humans prioritize their own self/career , family over territory or country. I’m sure you and your family will also do the same if it came to that. So to expect this young promising Chinese to put their promising career in the west on hold and wait and be patient until their home country’s basic research output and investment catches up/matures in future(maybe decades from now) is wishful thinking and impractical. People should stop projecting their wishes on others, when I’m sure most of them would probably make the same choices if they were in this situation .You only can improve the environment with time. It's normal to focus on the practical one when you want to gather resources; China is just beginning to invest heavily in basic research, and we need decades to see the result, but China needs to clean up the academic environment. Student Geng is a good example; I see many such academic corruption cases on Douyin, but it has been deleted multiple times by the platform, from stolen students' papers to fabricated papers, paper factories, the children of academics using their relations to have a special path to achieve high positions without real knowledge,... There is not too much corruption, but it also happens in 985 and 211 institutions, that the alarm, and it may take decades to clean. Want to develop talent? You need a fair competitive environment. You only can improve the environment with time. Only when China is rich that basic natural sciences (not just math) will develop. Yu Deng stated his opinion on this in an interview in 2014.Just a bunch of stupid and jealous people; who cares about them? Chinese math environment is not good at all; some people return and go again. The Chinese need to reform their academic environment.

In them, we also see hope for China’s future.
"Deng shen" (God Deng, a pseudonym) was once the only high school sophomore among the 6 national team members representing China in the International Mathematical Olympiad in a certain year, and he won a gold medal. Afterward, he was directly admitted (without taking the Gaokao) to the Department of Mathematics at Peking University. After completing his freshman year at Peking University, he applied to transfer to the MIT and was accepted. Thus, he came to MIT to start his sophomore year. He has now graduated and gone on to Princeton University for further advanced studies.
Once, while chatting with him in the lounge of the mathematics department:
Yan Xiaochuan: Deng shen, where do you think the quality of life is better, Peking University or MIT?
Deng shen: Peking University, of course. Here at MIT, the food is terrible. Just looking at those cold sandwiches and things like that makes me feel miserable.
Yan Xiaochuan: What about other aspects? Like going out to have fun?
Deng shen: I think the US is really boring. When I have free time and want to go out for a walk, I just stroll along the river. But there’s really only this short stretch here suitable for walking. So every time, I repeatedly walk this same little stretch.
Yan Xiaochuan: What about back home in China?
Deng shen: In China, it’s obviously much better. Needless to say about the food, plus many of my classmates are there. Also, when I was in Shenzhen, I could go hang out at the bookstore complex. In domestic libraries and bookstore complexs, there are many classmates sitting around reading; some even sitting on the floor. I think it creates a very cozy and warm atmosphere. In the US, there just isn't that kind of vibe.
Yan Xiaochuan: Going abroad is so tragic for you, so why did you come to the US to study?
Deng shen: Mathematical research in China hasn't reached this level yet. I want to do cutting-edge research in the US and hope to make achievements and breakthroughs in certain fields. Then, I want to bring these results back to China. That way, my future students won't have to go abroad to learn the best mathematics.
Someone tweet Marsha Blackburn that this one has pro-PRC tendencies so he gets extradited (Xi does need to intervene so he doesn’t get sent to El Salvador like the dishwashers).
