Never underestimate the stupidity of the American electorate.

Yes, China is going to "compromise our economic security and Virginians’ personal privacy" by.......bringing over tech and building batteries. LOL

I don't know what's worse
Idiots, or people trying to appeal to idiots by being bigger idiots...

Front for the Communist Party?? Could he have put it an a more stupid way?
Mainland China has a Disneyland with both Captain America AND Winnie the Pooh! No one is claiming it is a front for the CIA (OR IS IT??!)

A nice article on the 2 Denza models expected to be launched this year. The N7 will be launched in the Shanghai Motor show in April and start delivery in middle of the year. That looks very exciting and I think will be very popular and put a lot of pressure on NIO/Tesla/LiAuto in that luxury SUV space. My guess is that it will be priced about where D9 is.

The 6/7 seater looks more fancy will probably be priced higher and challenge NIO ES8. That one also talked about off road capabilities and higher intelligence level. In general, it just looks like a very impressive car. That will hopefully start delivery in second half of this year.

Good video from the electric viking on BYD Seagull and I have also attached the 2022 sales numbers from A00 segment in China. I think Seagull is just so much better car than any of these A00 competitors that it's almost unfair to be compared to them. If priced in the 60 to 80k RMB range or even 70 to 90k range, it should be such a huge hit.

based on this, it should be unveiled by Shanghai Motor show which is in mid to late April and then go on sale after that. And production will really ramp up by June. I'm surprised they are waiting that long if mass production will be underway by June. Maybe it will get unveiled earlier. this should be something BYD eventually sells 30 to 50k a month.

Yes it's silly, but it also indicates the direction things are heading. There still seem to be a lot of folks in denial about the trajectory we're on, the kinds of folks who hoped, for example, that Biden would be friendlier to China than Trump was. But that isn't how this works. China is America's enemy now, the entire political class is agreed upon that, and so the only acceptable attitudes and policies are "anti-China", and "more anti-China". And with how electoral dynamics play out over time, yesterday's anti-China policy is tomorrow's China appeasing policy (hence Biden being labelled as such by the GOP). The ratchet only goes one way.

Biden is consistently hawkish in his career. The only hope was he will direct more on Russian. Then Biden surprised them by doing both.

Doesn't look like this has been posted yet.
Catl signed a mining deal with Bolivia a long with it's recycling subsidiary and miner cmoc.

Let's see how this goes. Bolivian projects have pretty much all turned into pumpkin so far.
Musk and the U.S. will not be amused.
