More BYD entering UK. Looks like quite a few dealers and they plan to add even more dealers (not sure why they need so many)

Despite everyone else cutting prices in China, BYD does more price raises. This time with D1, which is normally used as taxis.

BYD Seagull video came out yesterday. Normally not a fan of pink, but it looks kind of cute here. I think this will be a major disrupter if pricing is actually 60 to 80k RMB

CNBC's take on TOYOTA's supposed reluctance on embracing EV. The core message is that batter tech is not fully mature to compete on equal footing with ICE vehicles. Battery charging stations in America would require 1.8 million plus 28 million private chargers to meet U.S. government's objective of 50% EV penetration by 2030. There are still parts of the world that do not even have access to electricity 5% of which are in ASEAN countries and apparently including China. Bottom line, according to this video that ICE vehicles will still be made for decades to come beyond the self-imposed ban that countries made on stopping to produce ICE vehicles.

Alright, looks like the first Atto 3 getting delivered to India here

On a separate note, Taylor Ogan and the good people at Snowbull Capital are moving to Shenzhen. I'm under the impression he will be working with BYD to improve their English PR & IR. They also have a member of their team in America who will be doing BYD PR here.

I know that Taylor has been voicing desire for BYD to launch in America, but I think it's still quite a way off. I'd rather see them launch with something like YangWang down the line that is so expensive where a few thousand dollars of subsidies don't mean much. Also, I think the US market still needs more chargers. And gives them more time to assess the geopolitical situation.

BYD is like GWM in 2020, too much expansion isn’t going to do any good , especially in 2020s
I’m not saying they are going down immediately, but over time , they wouldn’t be able to lead the competition like this for too long.
It’s like shared bicycles in 2016, any sensible people had their doubts, then they came up with shared cars, that’s where BYD is now, and what’s next? Sharing wives?

Secretly I think it’s capitalism and communism combined but what do I know?
Seize the means of reproduction

Is this niubidaren alt? Jk.

Back on topic. I wish BYD Dolphin get a face lift. It should look like Seagull but bigger. Somehow for a car costing twice of seagull it looks like it cost half.
