Here is the breakdown.
Han -> 31,497 -> October aim is over 35k
Tang -> 15,058 -> October aim is over 20k
Song -> 46,475 -> October aim is over 50k
Qin -> 39,515 -> October aim is over 45k
Yuan -> 23,503 -> October aim is over 25k
Seal -> 7473 -> October aim is over 15k
Dolphin -> 24,956 -> October aim is over 30k
Frigate 05 -> 9101
Rest are E series and Song MAX DM-i

Most of these numbers are pretty good. I'm a little surprised Yuan series didn't sell more. Seal and Dolphin are ramping up nicely.

From the numbers today, Yuan family exported 6368 and Song family exported 541. I'm surprised Yuan production isn't higher given how many are getting exported.

Tang production at an all time high. Quite impressive since Tang is their most expensive model. D9 production should start this month I think. Let's see if Seal can get close to 15k this month. That would be a crazily fast ramp up if they could.

A few months ago, I had posted someone's projection on BYD production for rest of this year. At the time, he had predicted they will exceed 200k for the first time in September. That has now happened. More than anything, they are producing not only more cars but higher priced cars. That will be good for their margins. As they export more, they will also have higher margins. Chinese market is just too competitive. They should exceed 10k in export by December.

Look at this tweet
Not only has China exported as many cars in first 8 months of this year as all of 2021, they have also been exporting more expensive cars. In August alone, China exported 4 times as many cars over 50k than all of 2021.

China is very quickly become a net exporter by value of car.

China is on track to be the world's largest car exporter with over 3 million vehicles every year. In a worst case scenario, BYD could sell or lease out its car carrier fleet which probably has capacity for 0.5 million vehicles.
I remember my old Chinese school teacher telling me about the time he was a teenager during China's 改革开放 (opening up and reform), and one of the lucky few at the time whose family could afford an overseas education. He told me he would never forget the sight when he first got off the plane in Japan. The contrast was astounding - whereas Beijing was swimming in a sea of bicycles, Tokyo was a glistening metropolis of automobiles. China is set to surpass Japan as the number one exporter of cars in the very near future, and soon Chinese automobile brands will oust Japanese brands as the world transitions to electric vehicles. This is a testament to the efficacy of the Chinese system and the talent, intelligence and hard-working nature of Chinese people.

Bro the Japanese have the same trait too, as with SK, Taiwan and Vietnam, the Sinosphere country. They become complacent and lost their MOJO.

Wuling EV has started selling here in Indonesia with a unit on-the-road price tag of about 15k USD. Man, it looks a tad bit too small for the rowdy traffic behaviour here, considering the most common vehicles here are toyota innova, fortuner and Mitsu pajero. Shall wait for the Ora Good Cat to arrive.

AVG UNIT PRICE PER DRIVE TYPE: PHEV: $26.5K, EV: $ 25.8K, Diesel: $ 20.6K, surprisingly, the price of PHEV is little more than EV. On the other hand, China's EV and PEV are only about 25% to 28% more expensive than their diesel counterparts, signaling the arrival of the NEV era.

The Funky Cat had an Euro-NCAP 5-star safety rating, so the Good Cat probably will also have a good rating.

It's funny how these cheap cars from China get so much more expensive even when they get to ASEAN countries. I hope they do well there given the investment of local factory.

I think Chery will be quite successful here. They just started assembling cars in Indonesia recently fhttps://indonesia.postsen.com/business/246954/Chery-Starts-Assembling-Cars-in-Indonesia-Nebeng-in-This-Factory.html. They can move on to EVs in Indonesian market soon.

Well, that really depends what's being sold. If a good number of those EVs are Wuling, then average unit price will be lower.

Other things to consider from BYD September numbers.

Seal has mostly been selling the SR/LR version. The performant version has just started delivery, will deliver about 3000 in October. Total delivery in October expecting to be 15k. Expecting to hit 25k by December.

Yuan series is now getting produced by Changzhou and Hefei. They are looking to start production in Zhengzhou also. They are look to exceed 50k per month by next year with 30k+ for export market.

Qin series did not reach 40k. Hefei has not fully ramped up Qin yet. Will go over 40k in October.

Song family is likedly to hit 55k per month by Q4. Xi'an's 3rd phase has started production of Song+. Jinan has started producing Song family in Q4.

They are expecting to further ramp up Tang family to 25k a month in Q4 with DM-i version being 17.5k, DM-p beign 2800 and EV only 4700.

Han family in Q4 is likely to reach 35k a month.
