Another point to why the Neocons wanted to turn Russia into a puppet state. They cannot win an easy war against China if they have unfetter access to basic commodities. Slow panic in the pacific. Their entire strategy is to make China dependent on the West for survival with semiconductors next to be knocked off.
Bruh. At this point, Chinese breathing fresh air is a national security threat to the US according to their logic.

I agree, and I do hope China won't fundamentally change their attitude into that of bullying hegemony like US if they become an undisputed power. Here I want to share an article from Global times on what Deng have said at UN General Assembly:

@Coalescence bro remember Obama G2 talks with China, dividing the world between the two of them, it's an exciting proposition for China, lesser nation like India will surely grab the opportunity, BUT China decline, showing the country character and its principle and we in the Global South are truly grateful, imagine if China accepted instead of one we will have two bullies and god save us all.

BRICS expansion is good thing. As a big ASEAN power, Indonesia should be included. And down the line, even Vietnam should join.

Vietnam is a snake country, but if China is even willing to tolerate this black sheep, it sends a big signal to the rest of the countries that China is willing to engage them, no matter how "bad" they are, as long as they stay clear of China's red lines and give it face.

IMO China isn't demanding much, the only issue is what China is prepared to offer to "buy" them out. RCEP is an important first step. CPTPP is also a part of this (I still think that China genuinely wants to join it, although it is also willing to wait years for that to happen)

Then there are the BRI, BRICS, SCO and the new Global Security Initiative. China should aim to standardise and institutionalise these organisations (GSI is very new, it will take years for that)
@Overbom bro go easy on Vietnam, whatever her action is, she is part of Sinosphere, together with 2 Koreas, TW and Japan.

Yup, I remember the G2 proposal, and I'm glad they stick to their principles and declined the horrible proposal. Maybe that's why China had such a good luck over the two decades, must be all of that good Karma lol.

@Coalescence and America never forgave China, their thinking is that the Chinese should be grateful that they are trying to co-opt them, The Chinese saw the malicious intent and back off, the reason for the Pivot in Asia. Bro if the Chinese accepted it there will be a colored revolution in China as the neo liberal policy will be implemented, the Financialization of the Chinese economy, sucking the Chinese dry as the American place a noose over our head. Placing Soros and his kind as the new ruler of China. It's like dealing with Mafia, they want your cake and eat it too.

With the tomfoolery that comes out of the US over the past years, what do you expect?

You even have a US Space Force leader claiming that China is posing tremendous threat against the solar system:

I won't be surprised if someday in the future the US would care more about the "wellbeings, liberty and rights" of Martians rather than their own homeless people sleeping in a dark alleyway just across the Billionaire's Row.

Thanks, USA! :D

However, back to the main point - We know that China lags far behind the US in terms of carbon emissions per capita.

We also know that China leads the world in aggressive decarbonizing and greening efforts in order to achieve the Zero-Carbon Goal by 2060. Some analysts even projected that China might be able to reach her peak carbon emission goal earlier than projected.

By then, who knows, maybe some clown+senile people in the US government would claim:

"China has more fresh, clean air than us! China can produce more fresh, clean air than us! That means China is a national security threat to US because China STOLE THE TECHNOLOGY OF OUR FRESH, CLEAN AIRRRRRR!!!"

and

"China managed to make her air fresher and cleaner. BUT AT WHAT COST??!"
