I can understand Musk's frustration with StarLink in India. Had a similar experience, but of course, not to Musk's scale.
In 2020, I flew to Singapore via the Middle East. The passengers were offered complementary onboard wi-fi. Suddenly, we all lost connection and several of us complained to the cabin crew. She explained that we were flying over India and this is the only country that will not allow wi-fi on plane that overflew the country. It created a very negative image of India for the rest of the passengers.
When wi-fi connection resumed after we left the Indian airspace, I did a search and found out that there is only one other country with similar restriction - N Korea.

Dear passenger, as we are now over Indian airspace, you are required to type in password JaiHindModiAwesome to continue using WiFi
It was an actual experience on Qatar Airways. I will find out if this restriction has been relaxed when I plan to take the same flight this fall.
Below is a news report that the India authority was still reviewing the restriction about the same time of my previous flight.
