Which of course doesn't rule out further J-10CE purchases. The main stumbling block being money.
People often point to budget constraints when discussions arise about weapon system acquisitions. However, it's important to understand that budget allocations are not the primary factor behind major defense procurements. Instead, such decisions are driven by the strategic importance and necessity of the acquisition for national defense.

In the context of Pakistan, two key points must be considered. First, an estimated 60–65% of the economy remains undocumented, which complicates accurate assessments of fiscal limitations.

Second, if we look at the past two decades, Pakistan has acquired weapon systems (Active or Under process) that many would have thought unimaginable. I wish I could chalk down the shopping list of acquisitions made by all three military branches; it would clearly illustrate how strategic imperatives often outweigh perceived financial limitations.

Pakistan is sponsored by the Persian Gulf Arab states. That is how they get the money as simple as that.
Shit, GOOD! I was wondering how/if we get paid for anything we send. If that's the case, lay it on! HQs, J-35's, KJ-700's, HALE drones, give 'em the works and send the bill to the gulf arabs! Turn Pakistan into the warrior nation of the Muslim world.

This. Actually why don't several Gulf states pool some money together to fund an "independent" mercenary air force that can be contracted to fulfil air superiority needs on an as needed basis. This would allow the Gulf states to effectively project power (at arms length with a layer of deniability) into places like Palestine or Iraq.

Guancha Trios previously indicated PAF has a unit regularly deployed in Saudi Arabia. The unit returns home only when necessary, such as war is coming.
