India bought Five regiments. Three will be deployed to Pakistan border and Two to China border. It doesn't cover India but critical airspaces.

India has developed its own SatNAV system that it intends to deploy much like Japan's QZSS. As per National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2020, United States Secretary of Defense in consultation with Director of National Intelligence will designate NavIC, Galileo and QZSS as allied navigational satellite system.

India’s NavIC is riddled with problems. Atomic clocks on some of the satellites have failed. ISRO is opaque about the malfunctions. Researchers have found that it can be easily jammed with household WiFi signals causing severe degradation of signal strength. Nobody is really using the system, all the talk has been about fishing boats carrying the receivers.
India started developing after GPS was denied during Kargil War with Pakistan in 1999. More recently India’s (More like Russia’s) cruise missile, BrahMos, veered off target by 7 Kms as GPS signals were cut off mid flight.

In one article, ISRO shared that they heaved a sigh of relief every morning on seeing that IRNSS satellites were functioning normally. ISRO is trying to replace the clocks from a Swiss manufacturer with their own. Same clocks failed on Galileo, but causes were different.

considering the quantity and airspace that radar scans its all India. India will develop what it can just like China. but it does not change it will still need Russia cooperation in various fields. slight upgrade in helicopter. new pilot training needed. so what happens to that decades of experience with Mi-171? you still not blaming India for failure to obsorb technology

Thirteen civilians were among 14 people killed in an armed forces' operation against extremists gone wrong in Nagaland’s Mon district on Saturday evening.

The Army’s 3 Corps headquartered on the outskirts of the State’s Dimapur town issued a statement on Sunday, owning responsibility for the killing of the civilians and assuring “appropriate action”. The Nagaland Government has ordered a high-level probe into the incident by a Special Investigation Team (SIT).

“Based on credible intelligence of likely movement of insurgents, a specific operation was planned to be conducted in the area of Tiru, Mon district, Nagaland. The incident and its aftermath are deeply regretted,” the statement said.

“The cause of the unfortunate loss of lives is being investigated at the highest level and appropriate action will be taken as per the course of law,” it said, adding that a few soldiers were severely injured and one soldier succumbed to his injuries.

I don’t think that the issue with S400 is so much that it is overhyped than that it has been played around with by the PLA for a couple of years by now. Same with the Sukhois that make up the backbone of the IAF — China has the most advanced variant (if we discount J-16) in the form of Su-35. No doubt that such knowledge has been conferred to Pakistan sometime before 2019.
