I don’t think that the issue with S400 is so much that it is overhyped than that it has been played around with by the PLA for a couple of years by now. Same with the Sukhois that make up the backbone of the IAF — China has the most advanced variant (if we discount J-16) in the form of Su-35. No doubt that such knowledge has been conferred to Pakistan sometime before 2019.
On a similar vein, the proliferation of Rafale in the Middle East. UAE will operate 80 F4 variants. Egypt, Qatar already operates them.

All these countries have bonds that go beyond religion/culture. Military cooperation has been there (Arab-Israel conflict and wider Middle East tension times).

Just read Pakistan is included in the "Democracy summit" hosted by biden&co. And India is there too ( of course). Very interesting because I thought Pakistan has become an "expendable" "taken for granted" asset to US and was lower in importance compared to India. I was wrong. Pakistan still holds some powerful cards, i guess. What would US lose by ignoring Pakistan ? Maybe Taliban Afghan affairs but even then, I think Pakistan is the weaker party.

I may b giving undue importance to the whole summit. But we can gather some hints about the US administrations approach to these countries. Might have some value towards an India Pakistan conflict in the future.

Pressure Pakistan to side less with China?

In general I see the summit, as a place where US and allies will try to pressure 3rd party/neutral (and also kinda pro China/Russia such as Pakistan) to be more against China/Russia.

That won't work because aside from western Europe and CANZUK, not many countries have particular reasons to be entirely in the US camp.

We'll see countries and Middle powers try to extract benefits from both US and China. No amount of convincing will pull these to a single sphere. Pakistan sure seem to have good diplomats. If they had good economists too...

I agree, still doesn't stop the US and its vassals to try.

As for Pakistan and its economy, eh I think problem runs way deeper than just economist (regional oligarchs, politicians, 'competition' between states etc.)

Pakistan is still in the process of modern nation-building. The government's reach towards rural area is still pretty limited.

You are. Any importance above zero is undue importance.
