Ive always assumed that this kind of nonsense and blatant idiocy was restricted to Indian media, and that their actual military would know better than to put out this kind of brain-dead lies. Lying about shooting down a pane and then shamelessly awarding someone for their non-performance.

Western Threater Command should just invade at this point, they'd march into New Delhi within a week and India would claim how their capital was actually Mumbai all along.

New Delhi: Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar on Tuesday alleged that ever since Narendra Modi-led government came into power, the country has been behaving like a slave of the United States of America which is constantly begging for protection from China.
Aiyar, a well-known critic of PM Modi, said that under the leadership of the incumbent government, India’s relations with Russia have suffered a massive blow.
He called on Congress to take steps to ‘improve’ India’s relations with ‘all-weather friend’ Russia.
While addressing the India-Russian Society programme, Aiyar said, "In our relations with the Americans, sometimes pride creeps in. However, this never happens with Russia. Be it the Soviet Union of those times or today's Russian federation. We look at each other equally."
Aiyar stressed that Soviet Union was the closest friend to India during the tenure of former prime minister Indira Gandhi.
"Indira has become a Russian name. A lot of girls are named Indira, especially in Uzbekistan," said the Congress leader.
"India's relations with Russia kept on increasing after 1955, eight years after independence. The relations became diverse in the field of science, technology, culture, literature and other fields and they kept on increasing. One field was left out, which is defence. We kept defence corporation limited but expanded our relations in other fields," Aiyar added.
The remarks of former Congress MP is expected to invite strong statements from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Aiyar's remarks come at a time when India and China are engaged in a bitter border standoff in some areas in eastern Ladakh. While both the neighbouring countries have pulled back their troops from many frictions points, deliberations are still in process for disengagement from other friction areas.

Love lost. Hearts broken. Uncertainty, Regrets ?

Can relate, sadly.

India can't expect Russian support for offensive actions against China. The Russians have tried to make a tripartite pact between Russia, India, and China but the Indians have always been non-committal at best and under the current administration they actively seek conflict with China. Russia will continue to sell India weapons systems just fine but it's not the type of alliance they seem to want.
India's recent turn towards the West has been a giant failure I think. They are getting themselves into a military confrontation against China they are bound to lose. They have no regional allies at all of note either.

New Delhi: On 11 November, Chinese state broadcaster CCTV reported that the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) flew an H-6K bomber near the border with India. The report was also shared by other Chinese and Indian news media outlets.
In a show to mark PLA Air Force’s 72nd anniversary, CCTV aired footage of an H-6k flying over a mountain range claiming that the aircraft had been sent to the Himalayas.

by the South China Morning Post quoted experts as saying that the alleged deployment was “definitely a warning to India”.
“New Delhi is within the combat range of the H-6k and the striking range of CJ-20”, the report quoted Macau-based Military observer Antony Wong.
Another former PLA instructor was quoted as saying, “China will not attack civilian areas, so Delhi will not be targeted by air-launched missiles even though the capital is quite close to the border”.
However, scholar and columnist Aadil Brar shared the CCTV’s images on Twitter, saying it is “unlikely that the H-6K was flown in the area any time recently. The backdrop has far less snow for a November in the Himalayas.”
A Twitter user Kyang Thang, aware of the Tibetan geography, said the footage of the bomber is from the uninhabited region in Amdo called Hoh Xil/ Achen Ganggye, which is one of the three traditional regions of Tibet. The user also shared a picture of the landscape of the region, which looks similar to the one shown in the CCTV footage.

A simple Google map search shows that the area is quite far from the India-China border.
“Though the analysis posted by the Twitter handle does suggest the images were from Amdo it still doesn’t entirely discount that Chinese PLA has the capability to fly an H-6K near the border. China, of course, uses information warfare strategy to obfuscate but at times such a strategy is meant for a domestic audience,” Aadil Brar told ThePrint.
“It’s China’s usual information warfare that we have seen since the beginning of border stand-off. But the bomber definitely can demonstrate the capability to fly close to the border if required,” he added.

Not the first time

This isn’t the first time that China has been called out for sharing fake news.

I hope members here go through these allegations and understand what exactly is the "issue" here.
I don't need to type much.

Indians don't seem to realise that to become a US ally you need to buy into their MIC.
