No.... so by this logic China can just say it recognized native Hawaii and stops recognizing USA and therefore it can fly to Hawaii and land at Honolulu at will and the US cant do anything about it?
Well technically yes, if Hawaii has a rebel govt running the show of the islands, and China doesn't have a formal diplomatic relationship with the mainland USA.

Yeah I doubt this is real. Source is just from Taiwan. It would be pretty dumb for Lithuania to actual do this. If its real, China would love to use this as an opportunity to make an example with minimal damage, since realistically Lithuania won't be able to do much, and being the instigator would mean only symbolic support from the EU like the time they did the whole whole Taiwan embassy.
I don't even think Lithuania can physically make it there in any reasonable amount of time.

Are they gonna phone Putin and ask him to let a plane full of delegates overfly Russia?

That leaves the around the world route if they wanna fly. Or they can go by ship... Either of which will take very long time especially by ship...

This time China really does need to shoot down Lithuania plane if it enters China/TW airspace without Beijing approval....

If Lithuania thinks its on the same footing as the USA they be wholly mistaken. If China doesnt put foot down and set example then there will be no end to this
All China needs to do is send a warship to taiwan territorial waters every time they visit. Soon they'll catch on that their visits are actually detrimental

Another one of those MSM morale-boosting articles. Talking about how cowardly the old Taiwanese are, and how brave the young Taiwanese are. Those Boba hanjians, they like to mock the PLA and talk tough. They should just join the ROC army right now. Perhaps basic training will wake them up. Maybe swearing loyalty to the ROC will start to confuse them over what country they are supposed to fight for.

Given how the Biden administration was against the Pelosi visit (as per the Washington Post), I can't see Biden approving of yet another pointless and counterproductive stunt by Lithuania, if Lithuania is serious about this. Nothing good will come out of it for Taiwan, China or the US.

So if we have both China and the US opposing the Lithuanians, there is literally no way for them to get to Taiwan.

No country will allow them passage through their airspace. That leaves the long route thorough the Malacca Straits or the Bering Straits, but who will allow the plane to land and refuel, given the combined opposition of China and the US?

And by allowing Lithuania to pass, does any country really want the US and China to escalate against each other?

@Blitzo

This is how future visits to Taiwan are discouraged or blocked.

Let's not forget that it is well within Taiwan's power to block this visit if they so wished.

If Taiwan still hasn't learned its lesson, then perhaps we have no choice but to escalate to AR.

I thoroughly enjoyed the kid who is making memes to defend the country. Definitely will be great asset in the army.
