This is the type of news that Chinese media should play and must be played on loop for everyone in the country to see, hear, and learn. Most especially this is the kind of truth bomb that must be used to neuter and nullify the basic arguments of the most vociferous democracy loving hanjians in China that the U.S. is a benevolent power worthy to being emulated.

This type of news ought to be circulated on Weibo and other social media sites in China for further dissemination to illuminate to everyone the type of enemy the U.S. can be and is one. And that no amount of appeasement or accommodations will be good enough for the U.S. because they only know and subscribe to a zero-sum game mentality. You either lose and they win nothing in between.
Nah, CN not willing/not desire to win this rather easy PR war. CN prefer showing dancing dudes

So basically this article says that the US is winning and China has not clue how to handle it

I'm really not sure how China could have handled it. The US has a much more powerful propaganda network, more powerful vassal states internationally, overall a much stronger starting position. I really feel that no matter how China managed its foreign policy, it would be in the relatively same position.

This article interviews different Chinese political scientists who all say China is not able to perform diplomatically but none detailed what they think China should do. I mean what can China do? Capitulate to the US? The US seeks thr collapse of China. Give the US an arm and they ask for the head. I dont think there is a compromise to be made. If there is one, it would be so skewed against china that the CPC would be overthrown.

The way I see it, China needs to beef up its news network CTGN to be much more like (dare I say it) fox news and other MSM to drive a narrative and get people watching it more. otherwise they can only keep powering forward and invest in research, improve domestic purchasing power and technology level. That's what this entire conflict is about, technology. Otherwise I haven't seen any other viable suggestions made by those interviewed in the article.

They're winning in the way Trump always wins.

He needs to pay copyright fees to Tiger Yang!
She’ll be traveling there, as we have said, from a position of strength, not unlike how Secretary Blinken met with Director Yang and other PRC officials in Anchorage on the way back from the Indo-Pacific region, where we had engaged in consultations with our Japanese and South Korean counterparts as well.

Wait
Is this real?
I had to double check it to confirm what I was seeing was the official state.gov website

This is beyond cringe. It is just sad how the superpower needs to soothe its ego at every step

Trump and Pompeo served U.S. interests better than the muppets running the state department right now...

There, I said it.

With Trump and Pompeo the decisions may be rash and outlandish, but at least they make logical sense. China refuses to capitulate in a trade war? Increase tariffs. Huawei refuses to die? Stop fabs from making Hisilicon chips. Each step is a logical escalation of the previous. Whereas the Biden admin... to this day I have no clue what their actual foreign policy strategy is, let alone end game.

The way I see it is that Biden wants to keep China as the US' cash cow but without letting it getting developed technologically.

Which is obviously as unlikely to happen as Biden getting younger again.

This why you see the US policies being all over the place. Fortunately China has kept its cool and hasn't responded too much to US senile actions.

Poor Trump was criticised for being an idiot and that Biden would bring sanity and logic back to the White House lol

That's what I'd call having your cake and eating it too.

Normally if you are in a position of strength, you don't need to state it. Just like how if you're cool, you don't say you are cool.

Reminds me of the recent Kris Wu fiasco where he bonked an underage girl and before it happened, he kept on telling the poor girl how massively endowed he was and that it was gonna "hurt big time" when he made the entrance.
