America is a very paranoid country. Even though they are already well ahead of China in most critical technology, they are still introducing more bills to get even further ahead and in their minds eliminate any possibility that China could surpass them. This is a strong competitive mentality that I hope China adopts as well.

Agreed. China past failures with their dynasties were partly because of the lack of competitive spirit. When things were looking good they would just sit back and enjoy life.

China should have taken even stronger measures in the past to let their domestic companies grow but it is what it is

With this witch hunt of everything Chinese and us government cracking down on Chinese scholars, the best and brightest of those scientists are leaving or seriously planning to leave
Mark my word without them you will see the gradual decline of american innovations

They don't needed them.

According to conventional wisdom, American koo-laid is the secret sauce.

The koo-laid, when mixed in properly with the water supply, allows the Chinese geek in America, to be even geekier than the original Chinese geek found in their place of origin.

Hence, America leadership in tech will be unsurpassed.

Oh yeah!

 :p

When you combine this with the fact that vegetable english is prosecuting Chinese employment agencies which headhunt taiwanese engineers, it's clear that Anglo America knows that it lacks the native intelligence to compete with Chinese genetics. I would strongly urge all Chinese engineers/scientists to start moving back to the homeland, if they haven't already.

In fact, like a monkey flinging shit, Anglo America resorts to pogroms and death squads against anyone who even remotely looks Chinese- looking at the korean and filipino victims of America's latest hate attacks.

but this line stood out:
Big data can track a thimbleful of iron ore from a Brazilian mine to a blast furnace in Harbin to a roll of steel wire at a Tangshan steel mill, to a nail factory in Xingtai, to a warehouse in Shanghai, to a container ship en route to Long Beach, California, to a truck headed for a hardware distributor in Denver.
What's to stop China from using big data and 5G connectivity to ensure that no rare earths make their way into Lockheed Plants?

China can definitely make the case by sanctioning organisations that defame China like raytheon which give money to ASPI; this could be enabled by Big Data to track every single element shipped of Rare Earths.

Big data with AI ... that is what the CCP used to fight this pandemic with the contract tracing.

When there was a reported outbreak, the authorities quickly stepped in to the control that localize outbreak. CCP used technology to do this.

Other places, the virus ran wild and mutated.

CCP acted in real time because they had the technology to do so.

What will happen is that Chinese companies will do the same soon.

CCP was efficient in fighting the virus by using this tech. Chinese companies will be more efficient doing business using the same tech.

The big data with AI, that will be made available immediately over the 5G standalone network, will allow Chinese companies to make decisions in real time, just like how CCP was able to do it with the pandemic.

This is a step up in efficiency, and a step up in competitiveness.

The big data with AI, coupled with the 5G low latency network, will make all decisions faster and better informed, such as how CCP isolated new clusters of Covid cases. Might as well have an electronic currency that can move at that speed, and not the old speed of the banking system.

The big data with AI, and the 5G standalone network, and the DCEP payments systems, all these new systems will complement each other.

Goldman seems to be absolutely correct when he says the DCEP will not replace the dollar, but the DCEP will foster other countries to do the same. Other countries will use their own electronic currencies and not need the western banking system. The CCP can even probably sell you the tech in a turnkey system if they decide to do so.

:)

THIS is what the United States is really up against. Most of their US politicians too misinformed to know.

That is why every few months, they ban Huawei again for the umpteenth time!

I'm sure they were thinking exactly that. When the soft export ban to Japan happened a few years ago, there were a lot of smuggling to Japan. This will close a lot of those loopholes.
