I am pretty pessimistic about the future prospects for Sino-US relations under Biden.

Politically speaking, on top of Fat Pomp making all those poison pill moves against China in his last days in office, one of the few things Trump and his team managed to do effectively was to paint Biden into a corner by insisting he is bought and paid for by China. That makes it very hard for Biden to make any substantive moves to undo Trump’s policies towards China as doing so would look too uncomfortably like confirming those allegations.

You also have the massive gulf in American domestic politics as exposed and exacerbated by Trump, where the MAGA crowd is shown to be both far larger than ever previously imagined, but also a lot more hardcore in their beliefs.

Anti-Chinese hate is just about the only thing left where both left and right agree on in America, so it is incredibly tempting for Biden and his team to try to use that to bridge and heal American internal divisions.

Also, I am having growing doubts about just how fit and capable Biden is. Harris most certainly didn’t seem shy in telegraphing her expectation to be taking over as the first female president of the US, as her not-so-subtle Simpson’s reference inauguration dress choice shows.

Harris may well turn out to be a closet Jai Hind.

Since Reagan stepped into office, Ottawa has been traditionally the first country a new US President visits (typically in February/March) - I suspect the topic of Huawei and Meng Wanzhou will most certainly be on the forefront of the discussion agenda when Biden meets Trudeau. I can see two outcomes: either they both decide to place the blame on Biden's predecessor in hopes of improving Sino-American/Canadian relations now that a new administration is in office, or both sides decide to step up the ante. Either way we should be seeing more clarity soon... I think.

I think what's going on is that Americans have drunk their own koolaid. Even members of the elite have become brainwashed by the warmongering crap that they use to feed their uneducated populace. The more propaganda they pump out, the more elites believe it, and the more they continue their anti-China rhetoric.

And the more they will eventually start dying in larger numbers (based entirely on how badly they are handling pretty much everything), that is for sure and while they are at it, eventually turn on one another as well for good measure. They are becoming progressively more crazy and insane with each passing day.

Bro, I'm speaking for all of us as human being, honestly I'm afraid , your afraid, we're all living in an uncertain future. We don't know when this pandemic will be over being coop up in our home doing nothing and being fed with conspiracy theories and fake news. What will you do? you lash out. China bashing is so yesterday , The American and the rest of the world want concrete action no more shifting blame , they want tangible result. What you see at the capitol hill riot is the exasperation of the American people, they needed help instead their leaders play politics.

This is why the Chinese diaspora must support a strong China.

A strong China means the Chinese diaspora gets respect and protection by proxy. Chinese should be able to travel with their heads held up high.

Sadly we have too many traitor minds and they can’t understand this.
