Regarding friends, that opinion poll is really interesting. Very large majority of Europeans want to be neutral in a Russia/China-US conflict. Biden has a lot of charming to do if he is going down that route.
I would also add that any country that provides any form of logistical support to US incase of war should also be included in the hellfire. Countries like Australia, Japan etc

Both America and Russia were only realistically planning on using tactical nukes in Europe.
If China didn’t need tactical nukes when its conventional forces were hopelessly outmatches by the west, it sure as hell does not need them now that it’s gaining near-parity or even pulling ahead in key some fields.
In some respects, Chinese lack of tactical nukes works as a better deterrent than having them. Nobody in the American military can be stupid enough to actually think any nuclear attack on Chinese soil or forces would be met by anything other than a nuclear response. Do you want to shoot off a kiloton grade tactical nuke only to eat a megaton grade strategic one in response?
Chinese warheads numbers are more than sufficient, especially given that its underground Great Wall makes them practically untouchable.
What China should, and is focusing on are more capable and survivable delivery methods. Because realistically speaking, even 100 megaton grade nukes is a civilisation ending strike for any country on earth. If China and America do clash directly militarily, it will be conventional only. Because any direct nuclear exchange between the two will almost certainly lead to MAD.
