2. Contrary to what I posted http://www.sinodefenceforum.com/members-club-room/crisis-ukraine-94-6939.html#post309328, the attack occurred on Sunday evening, not Monday morning
3. All English sources I've checked so far used "pillar", not "pole" like I did in http://www.sinodefenceforum.com/members-club-room/crisis-ukraine-94-6939.html#post309328, for whatever the car hit

From the website of my favorite radio station:
A Dutch member of parliament, member of the larger Christian party, told yesterday that 4 Dutch people were yesterday in the area of the MH17 disaster for logistical work (?). Ukrainians are busy collecting luggage of the passengers. There is talk about 9 cubic meter. An Ukrainian fire chief said that that day 10 cases and bags had been recoivered.
The MP said that it would be proper for the Dutch government to show gratitude for what the local people have done especially in view of the fact that in the first weeks after the crash the Dutch government complained about respectless treatment of the remains of the victims and the foreign minister Timmermans spoke in the UN over the theft of possessions. Nothing like this happened.
The Dutch government said today that the situation was now again too dangerous and the expectation is that the search will be resumed next year.
Of course the local people will continue without Dutch presence.

Nobody denies the connection, what is denied are the claims of direct Russian military involvement in the fighting. Claims which remain nothing more than allegations with no proof worthy of the name being presented, which of course; were the Russian Army fighting in Ukraine, would be impossible.

Any comments on the riot in Kiev yesterday when the Far Right tried to storm the RADA?

I'm kinda surprised it hasn't been posted here yet ... Russian TV must be full of it :)

As for the "alleged" direct involvement of the Russian Army in "mid-August miracle during the Donbass Campaign": I found an Internet source which says some Separatists' group(s) now threaten(s) Russians with revealing videos, paperwork, etc. if Russians stopped the support ... the link itself says now the evidence isn't made available (says it's being hidden in several places independently), so I don't bother to give this link here ... is it a hoax? maybe, but I post anyway, just in case LOL

Interesting interesting articles in The Saker:

In it,Saker talked about the role played by Russia in the defence of Novorussia. I've read elsewhere about Russian artillery fire support in the retaking of Lugansk airport.

Mike Whitney: The separatists in the East have been very successful in repelling the Ukrainian army and their Neo Nazi counterparts in the security services. What role has Russia played in assisting the Novorussia militias?

The Saker: Russia’s role was critical. While Russian troops were not deployed across the border, Moscow did allow volunteers and weapons to flow in. And while the assistance was not provided directly by the FSB (Russia’s Federal Security Service) or the military, it was provided by various private groups. Clearly, the Kremlin has the power to help-out when it choses to do so. In one instance, there appears to have been direct artillery support from across the Russian border (in the so-called “southern cauldron”), but most of the aid has been covert. Besides the covert assistance, Russia has also provided intelligence, logistical and political support for the Novorussians. Without Russia’s support, the Novorussians never would have been able to turn the tide in the war.

According to an article in Het Financiele Dagblad the sanctions are hurting the Dutch industry. Products that were imported from The Netherlands (and Germany ) are now being bought elsewhere or produced in Russia.
Markets are lost and the EU economy is not doing well.

yes, and now that the truth is coming out, they may try to equivocate, instead of just saying "sorry, I may have misled my brothers",,,, I appreciate your objectivity Jura, and your swift response to correct a post, with a column,,,,, a little wit here,,,,, just hope we can each be as honest as you sir. bax

and to brothers on this thread, I'm not trying to be snarky gents, just encouraging all of us to only post the very best sources, what has happened in the Ukraine is indeed a sorrow, and I hate it that so many innocent on both sides will suffer. While I do not deny my pro-Western, pro Kiev, viewpoint, I do strive to be honest and above board, my apologies if any have found my "nagging" for the same on all points, but as the many "incidents" such as the downing of MH17, come to light, I only hope that we will all be as honest as Jura? this forum is a bright spot of truth, in an otherwise minded world, and I do most sincerely value your perspective and your friendship. bax
