The United States said on July 24 that Russia was firing artillery across its border with Ukraine to target Ukrainian military positions in the conflict with pro-Russian separatists.

Thanks for posting Mirage, nice to see a little "sanity" on this thread for a change. Russians have been all up with the separatists since the beginning, can't wait for some of these reports to be published, so we will "know" who has been on the up and up, and who has been "spinning yarns"... LOL

If those dots wide around the "Ukrainian military unit deployed within Ukraine" are shell holes the shooting was pretty light and inaccurate and of little concern. They are no explanation for the heavy defeats of the Ukrainian forces. Who was shelling and where?

Does it rhyme with Prussia?

I too also wonder what these reposted July pics are supposed to "prove"

The Novorossiyans do indeed have artillery. We have on this thread the links, videos and pictures of the battlefields where they acquired much of it. Am I to understand that in some countries the local media are still trying to peddle the idea that the Novorossiyans only have Kalashnikovs and RPGs?

If not then maybe somebody can show the very obvious difference between a Russian army artillery shell hole and one produced by guns fired by the local boys, as it has clearly gone way over my head.

I see a lot of misses. The Ukraine Rebel artillery forward observing forces either had a math problem or a calculation and adjustment problem. OR the artillery officer can't get the angle and powder right.:p;)

Gubarev's wife says she temporarily heads the party Novorossia

MOSCOW. Oct 13 (Interfax) - Yekaterina Gubareva, the wife of former "people's mayor" of Donbas Pavel Gubarev, says she was temporarily appointed leader of the party Novorossia after the attack on her husband.

"We will hope that Pavel will soon recover after his injury and will continue our common fight. For this time being, the political council has decided to appoint me as leader of the movement Novorossia Party," Gubareva said on Pavel Gubarev's account on Facebook on Monday.

Miroslav Rudenko, deputy speaker of the Supreme Council of the Donetsk People's Republic and a member of the political movement Novorossia, told Interfax the movement's participants fully trust Gubareva.

"Yekaterina proved to be a leader of the Donbas people's militia when her husband was held by the Ukrainian troops. She was able to lead the movement through the most difficult months, March and April. She is a very strong person and politician. We fully trust her," Rudenko said.

Gubareva is among the people on the sanctions lists of the EU, Canada, and Switzerland over the situation in Ukraine. On these lists, Gubareva is called "the foreign minister" of the DPR.

The socio-political movement Novorossia, which is led by Pavel Gubarev, told Interfax on Monday morning Gurabev was hospitalized in Rostov-on-Don after his car came under fire and crashed into a pillar.
