Sir absolutely wrong, he had a clear mandate and his VP is a Duterte, the military had been sanitized by the elder Duterte and the rank and file will not follow the chain of command if ordered to, my thinking is that he was confronted by the fact that the Chinese are well inform of his deal ( to unfrozen their family illegal wealth) with the American and was given a choice of more economic assistance or halting the current one IF he sided with the US, he choose his FAMILY FIRST (a campaign promises) and the rest is history. Duterte is seething in anger, his pet project the Mindanao Railway system is affected, his mistake is to prioritized other regions first to show his sincerity to divide the pie evenly.
And Of course Manila is the one who cancel it NOT the Chinese....lol
So what we got from the US, aside the $15 million, more second hand equipment like the F16 that will swallow our whole defense budget to maintain and make it operational. I have a lot of Junior officer friend in the military who complained about the resurgent of corruption in the institution. When ask ,Almost all don't want a war with China, they know its a massacre and they will be the first one sent to their dead , unless of course their family were given a green card.

The more I see things, the US is heading to a Roman Empire type collapse as the similarity is eerily similar, the most obvious is employing outsider to fight the war for them, this is dangerous because any small American defeat or lost of prestige will have lasting cascading effect on PAX American. We may see a system collapse from within and from its vassalage system as the leash is broken.
That Douglas MacArthur quote "Give me 10k filipino soldiers and I will conquer the world" did a number on them. also those couple of wins in the Korean war also made them think they are legendary ststus army.
And the biggest copium is they are war material starved but just by spirit and endurance we will take on China. Then they get fucked by the US not willing to sell helis to fight insurgents from the skies, but instead the Philippine army could buy f16 fighter jets they can't really use.
Hence, my observations that Pinoys: Highly pliable to flattery leading them to commit literal suicide for their country. But, their loud and boisterous barkings are just that: empty barking. They have never once shown in their history to put a scare against their colonizers whether that's against Spain, U.S. and their brief encounter against Imperial Japan.
Their fake Nationalists seem to really revel on the tactical victory the PH contingent in the Korean War at the battle of Yultong. If you read any and all of the very pro-American pseudo Filipino Nationalists, they are all unanimous of using that event as prima facie evidence of Filipino fighting superiority over the weakling commie Chinese.
As for MacArthur's b.s. "Give me 10,000 Filipino soldiers and I will conquer the world" then if that's true why did he abandon more than 10,000 of these world conquering soldiers in the PH just so he could escape to Australia? Leaving the Pinoys and Yankees to their death March. Why didn't he use those 10,000 Pinoy soldiers to invade and defeat Imperial Japan saving the U.S. the use of nukes, not to mention thousands of U.S. marines.
I for one don't have any respect for such idiotic and fanatical thinking. The Philippines have been prodded and brainwashed by their western overlords with so much buttshit, that they have internalised and believed it wholeheartedly.
I am not surprised since the Pinoys are walking contradictions of being Catholic Christians on the one hand, while also one of the most superstitious believing people on the other hand.

one thing you should know is that Filipinos are very easy to flatter. This is magnified x2 when it’s a foreigner flattering them and x8 if it’s a white foreigner. There’s a term called “pinoy baiting” for when content creators on media platforms specifically target Filipino audiences because Filipinos are terminally online seeking for validation from foreigners, so any content that puts a focus on The Philippines and Filipinos will get a lot of clicks and views. Truly a sad state for my people. I’m not completely hopeless for them though. I wish they can start sobering up soon before this stupid mindsets leads them being to being led to destruction by Americans.
