First a correction Greystone is not Blackwater. Blackwater is currently two eneties ACadamy who does training and Xe who does operations Greystone was affiliated with BlackWater but not part of. Greystone handles aviation and execute security.
Greystone's website has a denial of this story. They state that they are not operating in the Ukraine. I also found it interesting that they had a story about Greystone doing some executive security in Russia.

when I checked the Greystone website I noticed a lot of Russian posters and alot of it was angry. I suspect there probably going to have a cyber attack in a day or two.

This sounds a bit like a RT spin, Mercenary forces always have a bad rap and Blackwater had a PR problem so bad it had to change its name to something totally different. If there are PMCs in Ukraine I can't confirm or denies. There could very well be. But if its a legit firm there operations are limited to support and training or defensive actions. If its a illicit firm anything goes.

EDIT:
The videos posted show little in the way of the violence the story try's to convey. And there is no evidence of any one in the videos being a American. But this one liner was priceless.
According to Tsyplakov activists believe they were mercenaries but were unable to identify gunmen as they kept silent and refused to answer any questions
Now that sounds familiar... Lets see shows up at airports refuses to identify themselves obviously Military. Are they sure they aren't Russians? I am of course being Sarcastic.

The most interesting part is the claim that 150 US Mercenaries from Greystone (formerly Blackwater) are currently based at Donetsk Airport.

So some random guy says there was a bus with armed men in it. Wow, that's conclusive.

Russia Today will claim anything to justify the Kremlin's Ukraine policy. I would like to see this news reported by a less partisan news agency - i.e. one that doesn't keep calling the uprisings a coup and just moves on. Otherwise it's a very thinly-veiled attempt to give Putin the option to invade any time he likes because the government isn't "legitimate".

Interesting evolution Russia from a former Stalinist cold war communist anti-fascist state turn into a Putinist cold war kleptocratic proto-fascist state.

Just an observation.

Thing is will Russia try and grab Odessa which is very strategic for Ukraine

Foreign warships can visit Odessa naval base right across from Crimea I have a feeling Russia is going to go for Odessa this is why they are trying to start another engagement in Eastern Ukraine

This is called the Russian Spring

Kiev offers amnesty to pro-Russian separatists if they surrender government buildings

Can't say that's not fair. They've illegally entered them and the members of these self-declared "assemblies" could be considered to have committed treason by asking Russia to invade. The government has the right to prosecute them, which would probably result in jail time. So allowing them to leave without being charged is pretty decent. That said, I have a feeling these people are more interested in causing trouble than ending the situation peacefully.

Agreed! Better than the deal the protesters in Kiev got.

Guys, this thread is about the Ukrainian situation.

STOP bringing up other nation's historical context in this.

The rules forbid such things and any more of this will result in discipline.

All such comparison posts and discussions of it have been removed
