Seems to me China will be the big winner out of this.

Although I changed my mind several times. LoL.

Lost in all the noise, was the reaction of the neighbourhood.

No one supports this trip. No one supports American belligerence.

Once the PRC saw that a couple of days ago, no real point in adding fuel to fire.

Here we have Pelosi escorted by the entire US military.

The message is clear, China for development, America for war.

It is so strange. This is the worst message America can give, yet that is the only message coming through loud and clear.

To illustrate the point further, what this was, this political stunt, was a political rally. It generated a tepid response of support.

This may sound a bit Ah-Q, but hey! China's interest is global. Paint Pelosi and the Americans as belligerent, then that is an enormous win.

Things were so fluid, it was tough to get a handle on it.

There will be more good conclusions from this episode for the PRC.

:)

This is the card to play against the Americans, world opinion along the BRI, which will sell good.

The card to play against Taiwan DPP, is the same one, the imbalance of military capabilities across the strait. So some exercises are coming to make that point.

There is probably more fall out, but the outcome is surprising because the situation was so fluid.

Nope, I don't think we can 100% make such conclusions yet.

Might it be the case? Yes, or maybe not.

What's more we still don't really know what happened in the skies about Taiwan or around it.

ROC airplanes could have been shot down and we might not know it, that possibility exist, although probably small since some people should have been able to take some videos?
The political impact is what's important. Let's say that the PLA was not ready. But once they detected the plane, they should have scrambled, made it look like an emergency, set afterburners to race towards the aircraft.

It doesn't matter if they fail to even get there before she lands, it will be visible on radar and it will send a strong warning that PLA has high readiness.

Japan and Germany did the same mistake. It's a recurring theme of totalitarianism
The US loves to pretend to be invincile by bringing up those 2 midgets. Guess what? They were the size of US states and still put up a really good fight. Japan almost won, but it didn't have the stamina. If they were the size of China, you'd be speaking Gerpanese right now. And China is actually that size.

This 3 days exercise wont do anything, she'll flyout as she had landed. This is a slap on the face of 1.4 billion Chinese people, coz not a single of them wanted her to land. CPC calls itself the people's party.

But it failed its people miserably. Whatever sanctions it would impose on Taiwan and America won't deter them from again crossing the so called red lines of China.

All this new toys that China produced in last decades, seems of no use. And i really feel bad for people serving in uniform, even if they wanted to stop this shit happening they didn't got the green signal from higher hierarchy.

Someone should be held accountable for it, maybe Xi himself, maybe his powers should be curbed. It seems China didn't learn from century of humiliation, cuz it just got humiliated again by 82 years old lady.

I just hope that China does take some concrete military actions against Taiwan, and not just random sanctions, cuz no one's will take China seriously now.

Numero uno with a terrible war record recently. The arrogance of the West or US thinking that landing a government delegate on Taiwan will somehow show China who is boss? Don't cry and moan about the consequences.
One small victory of having a 81 year old prune landing in Taiwan to land in such a silly fashion. And she believes this will somehow turn the tide against China. Ha, this is just the beginning, if Pelosi’s actions in Taiwan confirms China’s doubts and that Biden and the WH is lying despite walk back attempts, then China will be free to make their next move with the key understanding that America’s word has no value no matter how off they try to walk back statements in the future. She cannot change policy nor can she commander the military to do much, in a sense this is good because it helps to show where these western carriers and ships are for future reference. Let’s see if this helps to keep the democrats in office during the mid terms, from with more disaster shall spring given the current performance in regards to basically everything or if her actions will tank the democrats meaning that her actions in Taiwan is pointless after all. Let’s see but rash actions isn’t something China should rush into given how obvious a trap this is, acting with a clear head will often yield greater results and China still have many options available and sometimes it isn’t a good idea to play certain cards too quickly

Yes this is what made it so big in the first place. If they wanted it to be peaceful, don't issue warnings and threats or put a massive parade for nothing. Now its humiliating for china and westerns/anti chinese countries will make fun of them for that, Rightfully so.
I think within china, hardly anyone cares about western countries making fun of china, it's to be expected now. We survived chyna virus, wigers, etc.

What the CPC has done is riled up even more support for the cause of unification. They can now turn to the public and say: look, we warned them, but they still came, should we not do something about this even if it comes with a high cost? If support was 80%, now it's probably 90% now.
