The Chinese have erected tents on the Indian side of the Charding Nala in Demchok in eastern Ladakh, senior government officials said.
The officials described the people occupying these tents as “so-called civilians”, and said that even though India has been asking them to go back, “their presence remains”.

Demchok has seen face-offs between Indian and Chinese troops earlier too. The two sides had agreed that Demchok and Trig Heights were disputed points on the

north bank, Spanggur, Mount Sajun, Dumchele, and Chumar.

Besides these 12 areas that are either mutually agreed as disputed or where the two sides have differing perceptions of where the LAC lies, five friction points have been added to the LAC in eastern Ladakh over the last year, after the current stand-off began, officials said.
These five friction points are KM120 in the Galwan Valley, PP15 and PP17A in the Shyok Sula area, Rechin La, and Rezang La, officials said.

The daily artillery duels and sniping seemed to have stopped on the loc.
Your present chief seems to be a practical man . While Afghanistan is in flux , he decided to cool down the eastern sector.
Whatever the reason, its given the IA a good opportunity to focus on the Chinese border.
Whatever the social media might say , India and Pakistan have managed to thrash out a break in the daily firings.
Pakistan has a very active situation on its western border, entering a decisive phase,Eastern border is kept quiet

This is rather odd isn’t it. For a supposed man of the people Modi hasn’t really visited any of the impoverished Indian village households while a princeling like Xi has made poverty alleviation his top priority. Maybe the poor votes for him regardless?

This really answer how much Modi cares about his despicably poor Indians. Look at the trains which are cramped with excess human cargo, including sitting on top of the trains and cling to the handrails between carriages. Does Modi care to improve the fractured infrastructures? NO. He uses the money to buy weapons, to modernise its armed forces, instead of using it to improve the livelihood of his people. Shame, Modi, shame.

Your chronology is inverted. The ceasefire on the LOC was implemented after the LAC cooled down.

Please educate our Indian guest about the nuclear delivery capability.

China is able to put 10-12 warheads in an ICBM while India can only carry a single warhead.
Don't you dare under estimate thorium based india nooklear loonch pawah. They have big thorium reserve. They are gonna dump all of those thorium on China if it's necessary.:confused:

To be fair it is hard to improve rail infrastructure in India since they haven’t undergone land reform and land acquisition for high speed rail is difficult. What is really baffling, to me, is why he wants to hide the poor during visits by foreign dignitaries. I don’t even think the North Koreans ever resorted to building a wall to hide the less palatable portions of the country. The worst they’d do is plan a strict tour route that bypasses them.

By contrast China has no qualms about showing the world how crappy the worst villages were or are.

@siegecrossbow Sir in fairness to the Indians , the same thing happen here during the Marcos era, Cory Aquino administration and that of his son Noynoy Aquino. Usually a wall is built with colorful design to mask the ghetto, to impress the visitor which is our creditor so that the money flow will continue.

We are comparing the leader of the biggest democracy with a "constitutional authoritarian" who fled his own country? Seriously?

@siegecrossbow Sir Cory Aquino is the heroine of EDSA revolution, the one who bring democracy back to the Philippine, his son is democratic elected due to his family name and his mother reputation. Both do a lot of injustice (Mendiola massacre Hacienda Luisita massacre and SAF 44) and they did what I say Sir, they had no empathy with the masses.
