Unconfirmed Russian/US intelligence claims that there were 15 casualties on the other side… wait a minute…
if we accept Indian account of the heroics of its men, the chinese causality figure implied only that one soldier on Indian side actually fought.

the other 14 Indian casualties must have just keeled over in their own without doing anything.

I get what you are trying to say, but I don't know why you are bringing Goa into this. As I said before, Nehru only invaded Goa after Portugal refused to agree to a diplomatic solution like France did. And the people of Sikkim chose to become a part of India.
I happen to agree with you on the Goa issue which was long overdue to be returned back to your country from the colonialist hands of Portugal who at the time had no business holding on to Goa.

Some updates/information from mazeto on PDF. He claims to be from Arunachal Pradesh.
At the time of Independence, Assam was the only state directly governed by the British, the surrounding hill tribes were either only nominally controlled or never controlled by the British. The then Assam government in collusion with the Central government drew their state boundaries appropriating huge amounts of the ignorant but independent tribes( think of NWFP tribes of British India). Today , suddenly the Assam government uses this legal instrument to dispossess people of the hill states, and since they are strategically located in the center, murder, arrest, put fake police cases , bulldoze homes , burn etc of surrounding hill states( Arunachal, Mizoram,Nagaland,Meghalaya)with impunity.
In my state( Arunachal) lots of public have been killed ( either shot dead , custodial death etc)arrested etc by the Assam police, entire villages uprooted and lands invaded and snatched. Ironically, China has neither killed our public nor taken our land!
In this particular episode, Assam was as usual on an expedition to invade and capture land from Mizoram. But the Mizos had enough. Assam started it but Mizoram ended it. It was almost entirely an INSAS vs INSAS rifle fight with some AKs thrown in. The numerically superior Assam forces had five constabulary and one officer killed, 3-4 dozens injured including their highest commander ( SP) shot in the thigh. The fight ended when most of the Assam forces ran into the jungle and the remainder raised the white flag( literally).

Funny thing that when he got back to Changan, he only got promoted from 5th rank to 4th rank. The emperor didn't think conquering half of India a big deal enough to make him even a colonel.
That area involved in the conflict was mostly in Bihar and parts of Nepal, not "half of India." The conflict happenned after the collapse of the larger Vardhana dynasty following Harshavardhana's death.
