Aside from that, in the US, the so-called quarantine is enforced by the returnees themselves, and that definitely didn't work out last year. Based on last year's outcome in NY and the current relaxation of mask mandates and "lockdowns", I believe the Indian variant will spread like wildfire in the coming weeks.
Do not forget that a many of Australian stuck in India are actually Indian-Australian. Does Australia really want to go through the trouble?
WHO is contradicting itself by advising everyone to get vaccinated and at the same time withholding approval for Chinese vaccine known to be some of safest and widely available. Go figure why?
The problem with offering Indians aid, vaccines, medical equipment etc as a gesture of mercy and humanity is that the gesture is wasted.
You are effectively casting your pearls to swine.
The Indians aren't going to appreciate it, and in fact as we have seen in twitter et al comments, that they are going to spit on the gesture as it hurts their pride and ego. They can accept their inferiority and need for help from the white man but from Chinese? Makes an Indian feel even more inferior.
Worse case, is that will shamelessly take the medical equipment and sell it on the black market for profit for themselves.
Finally, i believe the indians who shamelessly wanted to hurt and invade China ie the indian diaspora living comfortably in the west, need to be humbled and nothing would humble them more than to see india's stature revert back to the third world shithole from whence it came, to see their own standing in the west be reduced to that of refugee.
