Chinese semiconductor thread II

I read somewhere it would be 6nm TSMC equivalent performance
I think it's plausible that leading edge fab in China can produce something similar to TSMC 6nm given that they were at 7nm in 2022 and there was talk that 5nm using the same DUVi was doable, albeit with potentially quite low yields. Given that we haven't seen much progress in leading edge commercial production since Kirin 9000S in 2022, it's not unreasonable to think that they've managed to improve yields and push on to the next node.

Huawei 9030, 20% performance over previous. Can assume 5nm in volume production?
Using DUVi is too challenging to make.
I'm very skeptical that this was done with EUV. I think it's much more likely it was DUV being pushed to its limits. Given this is a Huawei chip and Huawei's own roadmap for AI chips seems to imply it won't get EUV until at least 2027, I don't really see how we'd get surprise EUV chips from them right now.

Do you not understand what I wrote before?

@LanceD23 it's been a repeated pattern for you to just post random rumors you see online. Please straighten out quality of your post or else you should stop posting here.

It's not a rumor. Kirin 9030 has 20% performance over 9020. It's all over the news

Alright, you are not allowed to post on this thread for a week.

As I said again, official report on Kirin 9030 will come out in a few days or 2 weeks at most once Mate 80 comes out and people have time to test it out. All these "news" are just based on online Weibo rumors. I would know, since I read a whole bunch of them.

Since you cannot accept basic instructions and this has been a repeated pattern, you should consider whether or not you want to post on this thread again. This is heavily moderated thread to maintain quality.
