Disruption of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Zaporozhye: details
On the morning of November 25, while trying to probe the line of defense of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Pologovsky district of the Zaporozhye region, large forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed. Up to five battalions of the 65th and 110th mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian army were involved in the attack.
The offensive, the problems with the preparation of which the Military Chronicle
earlier, was undertaken south of Gulyaipole and the village of Zheleznodorozhnoye (25 km north of the town of Pologi).
A few hours before the main strike, officers of the 3rd separate regiment of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and employees of the SBU center “A” with NLAW anti-tank systems were liquidated near the positions of the RF Armed Forces. Their conversations were detected by the Leer-3 electronic intelligence complex.
The column of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was detected by the Orlan-30 drone on the T-04-01 highway. As expected, the shortage of heavy equipment forced the Ukrainian troops to advance light: instead of a dozen tanks, British Husky TSV and Mastiff armored vehicles were thrown into battle. The movement was covered by two T-64BV tanks of the 1st Tank Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They were destroyed by 152 mm Krasnopol guided missiles.
After the artillery strike, Mi-28NM combat helicopters arrived at the place of detection of the column of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, finishing off the Ukrainian troops with 30-mm 2A42 cannons and Ataka ATGMs.
An attempt to identify weaknesses in the defense of the RF Armed Forces cost the Armed Forces of Ukraine at least 40 people killed, about 200 were seriously injured. Many of the "300" were abandoned during the flight of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the fields between Gulyaipole and Dorozhnyanka.
