The War in the Ukraine

Oh sweet summer child, it’s only a war crime when it’s the side the west is against doing it.

Oh I'm well aware of that. It's just something I'd thought to point out and add to the laundry list of things Ukranians get away with which does count as a tactical advantage but the pro-Ukraine squad likes to pretend it doesn't happen...unless the Russians happen to do it

I don't understand this, how the HARM know the GPS coordinate of the radar ?
Could you explain it please ?

The AGM-88D has a GPS receiver, so it saves the GPS data of the geolocated radar position so it can accurately flies to the last known position of that radar. And the D version is already old news. The newest E variant even has an own millimeter-wave radar to detect, identify, locate, and engage moving targets.

Maps from Russian sources show how dire the situation north of Kherson has been, the Russians are losing territory extremely fast...

I guess when the VDV tried to take kyiv, disguising themselves in Ukrainian uniforms, some applauded the prowess of the Russian special units...

I don't know to what extent, a graffiti on the casing of a device can be considered as the official flag, insignia or uniform of a Russian military unit... Until now, Z is not an official designation of any Russian military unit.. Only It is a brand that they decide or not to put on their devices

I am not trying to dismiss the limitations that Russia has. It explains why they need to slow down the tempo of the war. The don't have enough cannon shells to bombard everywhere at once. However, whatever limitation the Russians have, the Ukrainians have 10x more. They are low on cannons, armor and money. To go on an offensive against your enemy when you have little armor or cannons, just send in what remains of your reserve equipment and burn through it in such a hurry is the act of desperation. If you throw your spear against a buffalo and pierce the buffalo, then the buffalo charges at you, you want to get the hell out of the way. It does not mean the buffalo will win at the end, but you want to keep yourself safe while the buffalo bleeds out. You will come back to finish killing the buffalo once the animal bleeds out. Much safer that way.

It's more difficult to bleed the buffalo out when:
  1. The spear didn't hit any critical arteries in the buffalo (e.g., no critical main infrastructure, powerplant, bridges, etc...), so you aren't really engaging in a bleed-out (e.g., attritional warfare) when you aren't targeting the buffalo's jugular vein (e.g. high-value dual-use targets) or buffalo's brain (e.g., leadership center in Kiev).
  2. The spear isn't even hitting buffalo's momma which is providing vital milk to aid in it's recovery (e.g., Western NATO re-supply via rail, road, air to Western Ukraine), so you are letting buffalo recover with momma's milk (e.g. NATO arms, weapons, money).
  3. Also, your spear is insufficient or rusty (e.g., insufficient manpower, need mobilization).
The slow tempo in Donbass was due to lack of manpower, which is why partial mobilization is necessary. The myth of the attritional warfare/creeping artillery as chess strategic move has to stop.

The Russian PMC Wagner showed footage of the training of their assault groups. The exercise is called the "Confidence Test" since during the training of soldiers fire from military weapons is fired.

Video of a Russian Ka-52 helicopter hitting a Ukrainian T-64 tank with a Vikhr missile. The probability of destroying a tank class target with Whirlwind missiles is 80%.

The son of Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of the Russian private military company Wagner, spoke about the battles in Ukraine in the Bakhmut direction and assessed the training of Ukrainian army soldiers.

Footage of the fall of the burning Su-24M of the Ukrainian Air Force has been published. It is not known what shot down the plane, possibly MANPADS, since two traces of missiles are visible at the beginning of the video. Before falling, the plane was attacked by two MANPADS missiles, but both missed the target.

Seems that Russia withdrew from these positions due to lack of manpower
Russia is paying the price of waging a part-time war while Ukraine was mobilizing along with the help of 40+ countries. "Special military operation" is the worst strategic decision of last 20 years. I hope the Chinese leaders will purge all limited conflict proponents, if they exist.

The Russians joked about China's final warning when they didn't unleash ww3 with the pelosi visit, can we now joke about Russia's final retreat?

Just heard from Alexander Mercouris newest upload that Russia might be able to send 370k seems 70k more people wanted to volunteer.
