The War in the Ukraine

Was this Russia's original intent when they did their warplanning? I doubt it. Because they would've gained a lot more by enforcing a fait accompli with a swift victory.
It took several years before Russia could stabilize Crimea after takeover. the word stabilize means alot of intelligence needed to route sabotages. they are now going complete clean up house to house until all population is separated in battlefield.
the point is even easy victory even for small incursions into Kherson. they still need to keep thousands of soldiers to protect it so the cost benefit is not there. if Russia manage de-industrialization of Ukraine with much reduced population so it never become a factory for European firms or transit route for European trucking than this will be the modern definition of victory.

Speaking last year, Mr Putin had said only that he took his final decision about Crimea after secret, undated opinion polls showed 80% of Crimeans favoured joining Russia.

It seems that the Pro-Russian accounts on telegram already feel discomfort from the continuous repetition of images used by the Russian Ministry of Defense... They recycle videos with less than a month of official publication... The Russian MoD must be convinced that people suffer of amnesia

On the night of August 13-14, the headquarters of the Wagner PMC, located on the first floor of a residential building at 12, Mironov Street, in the south suburb of Popasna, was attacked by Hymas. The ammunition consumption of the Ukrainian Armed Forces amounted to seven rockets. Only one of them reached the target, but it was enough to effectively hit it. According to the photos, the second shell hit a unit on the ground floor of a semi-abandoned residential building.
▪️ Analysis of the rubble continues to this day: there was a makeshift bomb shelter in the basement. But from the shots of the hit, it flew into the unprotected part - you can see a crumbling brick wall.

▪️ There was damage. But there would have been more.

▪️Alas, the location of the headquarters was easy to find: military correspondent Sergei Sreda of the Federal News Agency posted a photo of himself right in front of the door with a sign showing the door number on his channel back on August 8. It was naive to think that the enemy did not know about OSINT and that the photo could not be used to determine the location.

■️ The trigger for the attack was the news on August 12 that the owner of the Wagner PMC, oligarch Yevgeny Prigozhin, arrived in the Donbass. In addition, Sredda's photos show a man who looks like the oligarch. This is at least the third known attempt to attack the PMC command since the start of the special military operation, and Prigozhin may be there.

■️ The emergence of video of the scene taken by a pro-Ukrainian eyewitness suggests that the strike was planned and that spies on the ground were waiting for enough people to gather at the headquarters.

The head of the Russian mercenary group "Wagner" Yevgeny Prigozhin and the commander of the 4th Wagner reconnaissance assault company Andrey Bogatov (recipient of "Hero of the Russian Federation") inspected the headquarters of "Wagner" in Popasnaya, which was attacked by rocket fire of the Ukrainian army.

Andrei Bogatov teased on the Internet that he and Prigozhin came to Popasnaya to look for the bodies of themselves (because the Ukrainian media announced that they had been killed)

Chaos and lawlessness in Ukraine A clash between the army and the police because one of the soldiers stole a motorcycle. The Ukrainen army flees the front line and then terrorizes the civilian population in the city.
In an other documented incident Ukrainen army personal war threatening a police officer.

Another strategic position seized by Russian troops / Chechens? near Seversk. The smart one surrendered, the rest of his friends died to accurate artillery fire.
