It's pretty sad eastern Slavs only use howitzers in direct fire mode. Both Russians and Ukrainians do this. Instead of 20 km or even 30 km, they fire from 5 or 6 km away. What a waste.
M777 is easily destroyed by attack choppers given the right tactics. If these were Americans instead of Russians they are fighting, a few M777 in Donbas would have been knocked out by Apaches already, if they even have fuel to move them around.
They are lucky they are fighting Russians instead of Americans who have far superior intel, firepower, tactics. Compared to Americans Russians are just a bunch of amateurs.

of all russian held territories, Kherson stands the best chance of being recaptured by Ukraine. with sufficient fire power Ukraine could conceivably destroy the two bridges Russia holds over the Dniepr in order to cut its lines of communications.
Kherson is well protected. If the Kiev regime sends 100 tanks to march on Kherson, every tank would be blown up by Russian attack choppers and drones.
Kherson is much more difficult for the Kiev regime to take compared to Donbas.
Kherson is next to the sea and well supplied by the Russian navy. If the Kiev regime blows up the Dnipr bridge in Kherson, it does nothing to humper Russian logistics. In retaliation, Russia blows up all the bridges on Dnipr and that will cost the Kiev regime millions of civilians drowned.
