The War in the Ukraine

What is the function of the net?

In the past, some Lancets would come in low and from the sides for attacks. The nets are installed based off the history of netting for camouflage that had accidentally caught lancet drones and prevented them from destroying the Lancet's intended target.

I wonder if the Russians own S-350 in auto mode shot down the 4 aircraft weeks ago inside Russia.
They've been quite a good number of air defense fratricide in this war so far.

I don't have a location where these are shot down, which by the way is only confirmed to be two. Of the two, it's more likely the Mi-8 is shot down by Ukrainian MANPADS. The Su-34 is more likely from friendly fire. However I don't know where the Su-34 was shot down. What it seems to suggest that an S-350 system is located in Crimea, possibly at a Naval plane base, possibly the one previously attacked by Mugin-5 drones. I expect another to protect the rear at Zaporozhye. I expect some more at aircraft bases behind the Russian border. The system may already have bagged a number of kills once attributed generically to air defense systems.

The admitance of the S-350 in active service comes after Storm Shadow was used in which a number was intercepted but a number also got through. The system is optimized against a saturated cruise missile attack. These are active guided missiles so they can engage against targets flying below the radar horizon and without line of sight to the target from a ground based radar.

Published footage of the impact of the Russian kamikaze drone "Lancet" in the new Ukrainian MLRS "Bureviy" near Artemovsk. MLRS "Bureviy" with a caliber of 220 mm, placed on the Tatra T815-7 chassis and put into service in 2022. The MLRS was designed to replace the Soviet Uragan MLRS, the MLRS firing range is up to 65 km. Technical information about it is on the channel. As a result of the impact of the drone "Lancet", the rockets detonated in the MLRS "Bureviy".

Spotted Ukrainian lair in Kherson goes up in smoke. I think this might be a Kub or Lancet strike.

Has there been a lack of activity in the front lately going with the lack of updates on this forum from last night?
Yes, other than miscellaneous strikes on equipment, not much has changed on the front over past few days, no major gains by either side. Ukraine and Russia seems to just be content with trading shaheds with stormshdows at the moment.

Yes. Front are static right now.

Russian side just finished capture of Bakhmut city 70k prewar population , so definitely would need time before any movement.

Ukrainian side it seems have problems with its planned spring counter offensive for some reason.
