Pictures of Fuzhou Airport on mainland China taken by ROC Air Force during its reconnaissance flights in June of 1971. The resolutions are too low to identify the types of the aircraft, but they were labeled presumably by ROC AF.

All told, these aircraft are: MiG-17 x 11, MiG-19 x 13, Mi-4 x 5, AN-2 x 2, IL-10 x 3, IL-14 x 1, Yak-18 x 3

The tables are turned now, obviously.

Amazing how ROC was able to do this without repercussions back then. It’s funny seeing them now complain about PLAAF returning the favour now except without intruding into their airspace.

Yes indeed. If you look at Taiwan's ADIZ. It extended to China. And back in the days (no longer tgan 25 years ago) when China was flying around with 1950s Soviet aircraft. Taiwan was able to fly around , in and out of China with their latest aircraft from the west.

It's funny how the western MSM is crying wolf about China flying into Taiwan's 'territory' cough AKA ADIZ.

My, how the worm has turned indeed.

Taiwan former generals do not opposed reunification and is against independence. Interesting, this side of opinions you done hear In The MSM.

Can you really expect these generals to feel any other way? They dedicated their careers to the Republic of China armed forces. Since DPP says there is no "One China", then they have been betrayed in their minds. The war that was fought was between ideology, but both sides had the same end goal, the modernization of China and improvement of the lives of ALL Chinese people.

“That would pave the way for the U.S. and its allies like Japan and Australia to come into the fight,” Easton said. “In any event, any Chinese invasion of Taiwan would almost certainly involve a long and extremely bloody air war.”

Hey, it's not Ian Easton's fault he's the most gullible man in Washington DC!

Written by David Axe with contribution from Ian Easton. Need we say more.

Chinese saying in this case is very appropriate: roughly translated as:

Snake and rat in one pot!
