There is this divide between the West & Saudi Arabia that commentators don't get. the real tension is the West's desire to go green, which I'm totally in support of. But that's an existential crisis for countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE as they seek long term contracts to continue their various businesses. So, the country they will turn to is China and China loves all that Saudi money. So, they are not going for Abraham accord or I2U2 or any of this other nonsense.

China agreed to provide 26B RMB as grants. I thought they were just FDIs, but looks like they will use that money to accelerate development of various infrastructure projects to be more aligned with China's goals.

There is a lot in that list and I'd have to take more time to look into it

This is interesting. Well, Argentina will owe China a lot of money by the end of this crisis. Argentina is desperate to avoid a sell off and IMF and there aren't too many choices. I wonder what China might get in return, especially with an election coming up and a more pro-America party likely to win

Well, there is that story from today where Chinese company TCL is building a solar PV plant in a JV with Saudi Arabian company. Two countries continue to get closer.
And with the large surplus that Saudi Arabia has against China, it can use some of that to buy Chinese weapons. We will see what else it buys.
A lot of people question tacticalreport, but I do think Egypt buying J-10Cs from China makes a lot of sense for both sides.

CEEC is helping ACWA Power with many of the projects that are ongoing. And they are all using Chinese hardware like I posted to in this thread Climate Change and Renewable Energy News and Discussion

This example here is with Jinko Solar involved in supplying 560MW of solar panel here

In the Turkish election, America has become the 4 letter word. Again, I don't see how you can unwind this

Good to have Saudi Arabia talk about joining NDB. The global south countries with money and power want to be on the discussion table. Given that UAE & Egypt have already joined NDB, Saudi Arabia joining will not be out of ordinary. It would definitely bring additional fundings needed for various projects

fundings needed for expanding projects in MENA and central/south asia regions. China shouldn't need to be involved in financing every deal. It just needs projects aligned to its vision of building up global south bloc to trade more with it and such

I am gonna call horse shit on that one. World going green is inevitable. If anything China is responsible for majority of world green development and yet the the two are friends. Why is there tension between Saudi Arabia and USA? I don't know, maybe something to do with Israel? Maybe US keeps supporting their rivals? Maybe US kept malding over MBS killing 'journalist'? But sure it must be the solar panels that made Saudi Arabia angry!

Middle Eastern countries, "gotta catch them all!"

I agree Turkey has potential. It is clear that anti-American sentiment is at all time high in Turkey. It is worth to have some kind of cooperation with Turkey. When I say cooperation I do not mean concession. Some people regarding any kind of cooperation as concession, that is simply untrue. The relationship is used to China's benefit, it might just happen to help Turkey too. For example currency exchange is one form of cooperation that helps China and Turkey without harming others in the region. Not everything is a complicated zero sum game.

US army didn't leave Afghanistan because they want to retreat. US leaved to cause the chaos.
Sprinkle some Iranian doritos on them...

On a more serieus can the taliban even sustain a long war. Can the US assuming the taliban got hired by the US supply them with ammunition and gear? Afghanistan is quiet land locked so supply lines will be hard.
