Longi Solar tech is really special and they are the most vertically integrated solar company and the one with the best margins and capacity level
note that all the semiconductor equipment manufacturers also support the solar industry as photovoltaics are semiconductor devices manufactured with semiconductor processing techniques.

as the semiconductor industry increases demands on equipment manufacturers, they will get even better at photovoltaic grade equipment too.

Can you explain which part of the process would use semiconductor type of equipments and techniques. I've read a little bit about it, but not sure I understand

I would imagine the areas with greatest overlap are in the substrate manufacturing (high-grade monocrystalline silicon ingots), wafer cutting and polishing, doping, and etching. There is some lithography involved but the patterns are so simple that it's fundamentally dissimilar to chips.

unbelievable. Jinko with a new mega PV plant in Shanxi for 56GW of PV module production (fully integrated), so everything produced there. This will be huge for Shanxi province and people there to have this large employer that will support local industries. I know personally that Shanxi is having a crisis of what to do as China transitions away from coal.

investment will be 56B RMB according to

Diffusion oven for doping, deposition (CVD and ALD for active layers, PVD for metallization of interconnects), etch, i-line lithography, wafer dicing and polishing, etc.

A photovoltaic is a semiconductor device. Many have on board power electronics.

Artech inks huge 1.5GW solar tracker deal with Saudi Arabian ASB project owner ACWA Power and CEEC. Makes sense when CEEC builds out these projects, it also brings Chinese companies along for solar panels and solar trackers (solar tracker basically directs panels to face where the sun is)
On top of this, Sungrow has now signed a deal of 2.1GW of inverters for ACWA Power's PV project

I think this is the same project. It should be obvious, but along with the TCL JV, Saudi Arabia is relying on China for its transition to the renewable economy

CEEC and ACWA Power signed a strategic agreement 2 weeks ago on eveloping clean energy projects in the middle east. Looks like CEEC will be the EPC (engineering procurement contractor) for making these clean energy projects happen in the Middle East.

In utility-scale plant scenarios, Huawei has set the global trend of smart string inverters over the past decade. Moving forward, the company will develop smart grid-forming converters that integrate PV+ESS+Grid+Management System to make PV a major energy source. Huawei's partnership with China Resources Power in Qinghai, China, led to the world's first application of smart grid-forming converters, laying the foundation for future industry standards. Moreover, Huawei helped ACWA Power and Power Construction Corporation of China build the world's largest PV+ESS micro-grid project in Saudi Arabia, supplying clean electricity to a city of about 1 million residents.

The green breadbasket of China is up to 150 m, so perhaps most of safely above 60 m. A bigger issue is the precipitation pattern that would ensue, plus bread baskets in the lowlands of Bengal, Myammar, Thailand, Vietnam etc.

Regardless of "food safety", all scenarios require significant adaptation from humans.
