New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) in China

Tesla cars are actually pretty low quality. They have so many defects and bugs and mechanical failures.

I agree with the analyst assessment that the value of Tesla sales in Europe and China will be near zero in 10 years time.

Tesla will struggle with European styling because their home market prefers ugly American styling.
And can you imagine China allowing fleets of self-driving cars controlled by the USA?

That still leaves the US, but that simply isn't enough to justify their valuation
Teslas success is more to do with Elon Musk than their vehicles. The guy has cultivated a Tony Stark image and has a cult like following across the world. People are investing in Him rather than his company per se.
I can only agree with these assessments. Also I worry for Toyota's future.

What's to worry with Toyota. I'll keep buying Toyota products to the end of my days. Honda would be my second choice.
@B.I.B. me too, I drove a Toyota cause its cheaper and easy to maintain, Honda price and after service are expensive, they will price themselves out of the market if things stay as it is.

I think Japanese cars are relying too much on their past reputation.
They are still good and reliable, but problem is others are catching up and are providing better features that Japanese cars are struggling to provide.

Korean and Chinese car manufacturers are making in road nowadays at their expense.
Check on the offerings from Chinese manufacturers like GWM ( Haval Suvs, Cannon/Poer pickup), SAIC (MG Suvs ) and Geelys.
You'll be surprised at the quality and features, and the warranties being provided.

Big inroad is made in Australian market despite the trade war, spearheaded by MG and GWM soaring sales.
