I see why there is a difference between my figure and theirs. I posted the production total and the sales total is on the right hand side. I guess that makes sense, since they are sending some out for exports that may not have been accepted yet.

More from Chinese social media
In Colombia, 446 BEVs were sold in July. BYD has sold 1263 sold far this year (up 484.7% over 216 from last year over the same period). They have been selling Yuan Pro, Yuan+ and Dolphin in Colombia.

Questions about Seal
It achieves L2 smart driving capabilities, including 3 MMW radar, 5 cameras and 6 ultrasonic rdar
CTB pack can easily be replaced

They exported a record 4,026 NEVs in July. This number should steadily go up rest of the year. My understanding is that Australian distributor has now secured a full dedicated RHD production line for Australian buyers.

From the driven, it looks like there is such a demand for EVs that people were just putting down deposits with no clue how good the car is and then are pleasantly surprised at the build quality and interior

Putting things into perspective, Australia sold all of 600 EVs in July and BYD is delivering 1000 at a time. Even Tesla only has sold 4657 so far this year. So yeah, if BYD ends up delivering 1000 a month, it will be the biggest EV maker in Australia. And probably NZ also.

Keep in mind that after over a year of sales in Norway, neither NIO nor XPeng have hit 1000 in total sales yet. Sometimes, it's good to look at markets with less competition.

Review from Singapore of Atto 3

They are still building and selling E6 in India

I read it somewhere that Musk said that Lidar/Radar makes the car far too expensive while a constantly updated camer/sensor system that is being constantly updated can do the job just as well.
No amount of trust should be given to that big fat mouth.

He said so probably because:
  1. Tesla has no access to affordable LiDAR and Radar technology.
  2. Tesla is far behind other competitors in LiDAR and Radar research.
  3. Tesla has it in secret development, but try to steer potential customers away from competitors, so people will only wait for Tesla. I won't be surprised that Musk suddenly changes his attitude.
Musk has bragged lot of things, some went to realization, some becomes total BS when he step by step reducing the numbers that he promised, for example, In 2016, Starship (BFR)' LEO payload was 550t in expandable mode, 300t in reusable mode, today it is 100t+ from its website, not saying what mode. Even if we take it as reusable mode, it is only 1/3 of his promise and we still haven't seen it doing it yet. His game is that "I bragging a ridiculous number is a hero of trying the impossible, others not being ridiculous is incompetent."

Notice that the sales of the Seal hasn't started in earnest yet. With 60,000 reservations, BYD will easily break the current monthly sales record once the selling of the Seal starts.

's M3P batteries' cathode materials are doped with lithium ternary materials and LMFP materials, a solution that solves the problem of short cycle life and high internal resistance of LMFP batteries, as noted in the LatePost report.
...
M3P batteries are developed based on a new material system that has higher energy density than LFP batteries and lower cost than ternary batteries, Wu said.

M3P batteries will mainly target the market with a range of more than 700 kilometers, according to Wu.
