If there is any indication that Japan is building nukes, what does China do then? At some point the CPC will be faced with the prospect of biting the bullet and doing preemptive action. They have just chickened out.
Still China should question Japan's true intensions and at least make a complain to the IAEA. Give them another chance to show their true colours first. So that if China needs to activate the UN Enemy State Clause, it had already exhausted all peaceful options first.
The real problem is Xi Jinping, not the minister who merely follows his boss's orders. The problem is that they could not find a better foreign minster, after they fired the previous foreign minister.

Why does China need to act so fast that they are literally blind to the consequences. Doing things the American way has always come back to bite. I mean look at Trump and his tariffs, did acting as fast as possible help their situation or did it instead serve to ruin the U.S. economy that much faster. If Japan wants to make nukes, lots of capital and materials are need that Japan right now cannot even begin due to its current levels of debt and the fact that Japan absolutely needs China to survive and given WW2, no one is going to spare them any nukes. It’s like every time China doesn’t act like an American they whine and bitch about things until they are proven wrong, like the whole Iranian war where they assumed like a crazy nut that Iran has fallen because of the initial strikes, end of story. These people completely lack logic, kinda like Pete Hegseth thinking he can double tap and expect everyone to agree with him with no consideration of the consequences therein. If the USA thinks they can do an Iraq and have multiple countries to pile in like then, they have to be joking since they attempts at trying to run away from Ukraine hasn’t done them any favoursSleepybot mask-off moment?
Those knife incidents are isolated incidents for sure and are extremely rare. It's not like the US where school shootings are normalized in society due to its frequent nature. It has gone to the point that a school shooting was over shadowed by charlie kirk death. But we shouldn't be to worried because the west is the same situation but even worse and they going downhill due to increasing polarization. Most of are thinking of geopolitics, but I have some other things to add too.
Although we still have 2 weeks left in the year, has anyone noticed that 2025 has gone by without a single mass casualty incident with knives and car rammings, when before sadly these were happening quite a bit in China? Things are still not all hunky dory in the Mainland with the real estate recession, youth unemployment, and stagnant consumer spending. Still, as hard as things are, clearly something has been to done to mitigate the number of crazies and down on their luck people who wish to take their anger out on society.
Perhaps its tighter control measures that the greater public is best not knowing about. But I like to think its that through the hardships, Chinese society is becoming more cohesive and imbued with a greater sense of responsibility towards the greater good. Whether it can be kept up remains to be seen, but hey for now consider it one of the government's more understated achievements of 2025.
Dedollarization doesn't mean to make the US a non-global currency. That means it's not accepted anywhere except the US. It means to reduce the power of the USD by cutting into its dominance and the dominance of the SWIFT system by providing alternatives so that American sanctions to pressure weaker countries into giving up their interests to feed American interests become less effective. America is a nation with very little internal power compared to China; everything it has comes from forcing others to give and feed it. If America's main way of draining global power into itself, by economic sanctions is crippled, so is America's ability to compete with China.I think China can compromise with United states about dedollarization. China can agree to let dollar remained to be global currency. I don't think internationalisation of yuan is a good things for china since china has to losen control on currency and make currency unstable. I think china goal must be set to persue autarky.
Yes and it has been industrialized. Can't you just grow pure quartz?
