I must note that Spain made Nahuatl an official language of Mexico and Quecha an official language of Peru. They also did not allow Native Americans to be enslaved. Some other country forced Native Americans to speak English and enslaved them in "residency schools" with mass graves.
Spain allowed it initially. They later forbade native enslavement because the native slaves were less productive and kept dying of European diseases. Native slaves were replaced by African slaves who were more productive, efficient and resistant to disease.

Contrary to popular belief, the core power of western civilisation is not tech or guns, it is always brainwash. Back in the day it was missionaries. Nowaday is their media. The use of brainwash to fracture society always come first. Without it they frequently lose despite tech advantage.

You sound like Chairman Mao.

Mao said atom bomb does not wins wars, it is people who win wars. Something like that.

Not trying to sound offensive, or weird, but you never struck me as an old time Maoist.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk says he favors 'no tariffs' on Chinese EVs

PARIS— Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that he doesn’t support President Biden’s recent announcement of a tariff on Chinese-made electric vehicles.

“Neither Tesla nor I asked for these tariffs,” Musk said in response to a question from CNBC’s Karen Tso during a question and answer session at the VivaTech conference here on Thursday. “In fact, I was surprised when they were announced.”

The Biden administration last week said it was placing a 100% tariff on Chinese-made electric vehicle imports to the U.S. in a bid to stop cheap Chinese EVs from flooding the U.S. market. The White House says Beijing’s subsidies are helping companies overproduce cheap clean energy products like solar panels and EVs that outpace domestic demand.

Tesla has been struggling this year due to an aging fleet of EVs, weaker consumer demand for its vehicles and increased global competition, most notably in China. Revenue slumped in the first quarter by the most since 2012, and the stock price is down almost 30% in 2024.

“Tesla competes quite well in the market in China with no tariffs and no deferential support,” Musk said on Thursday. “I’m in favor of no tariffs.”

Musk added that he doesn’t agree with tax incentives for EVs, either.

“I’m in favor of no tariffs and no incentives for electric vehicles, or for oil and gas,” the Tesla CEO said.

Musk’s remarks Thursday come after he suggested earlier this year that Chinese EV companies will crush competitors elsewhere in the absence of trade restrictions.

“Frankly, I think, if there are not trade barriers established, they will pretty much demolish most other companies in the world,” Musk said on the company’s earnings call in January.

Earlier, when asked for his views on whether Biden’s 100% tariffs would give him to the green light to bring a lower-priced car to market, Musk’s line cut out and the audience were left for several minutes waiting for him to come back online.

Some attendees left the dome where the Q&A session was being livestreamed.

Attendees: Will you commit to bringing affordable electric vehicles now that a potential competitor has been banned?

Biden looking for ‘meme manager’

Joe Biden’s presidential campaign is aiming to hire a person to promote his image by harnessing the power of memes, according to a job listing. Both the Biden campaign and that of his archrival, Republican frontrunner Donald Trump, have relied on memes to boost their electoral chances ahead of the November vote.

The job ad was first posted on LinkedIn earlier this month and duplicated on the Biden campaign’s website, but only came into the media spotlight this week. The job, officially titled ‘Partner Manager, Content and Meme Pages’, is a full-time position with a salary range of $65,000 to $85,000 a year, and is based in Wilmington, Delaware.

Meme lord hopefuls will have to “initiate and manage day-to-day operations in engaging the Internet’s top content,” the job description says, adding that the ideal candidate must be “passionate about bringing political content to voters where they already are on the Internet.”

Candidates must have two to four years of experience in the video, media, or entertainment industry, deep expertise of the digital media landscape, the ability to identify internet trends, and possess “exceptional creativity.”

The Biden campaign has already made avid use of memes, with one example being the figure of the so-called “Dark Brandon” character – a slick and sinister alter ego of the 81-year-old president who shoots laser beams out of his eyes. The meme originated with the right-wing political slogan “Let’s Go Brandon” – a euphemism for “F**k Joe Biden.” The latter went viral after an NBC reporter misrepresented an offensive chant by an anti-Biden crowd at a motorsports event in 2021.

The Biden team has also set up a TikTok page featuring ‘Dark Brandon’ in its profile, even though the president signed a bill that could effectively ban the network in the US unless its owner, the Chinese company ByteDance, sells it to someone else.

The Trump campaign has also tapped into the potential of memes ahead of the November election, selling mugs and other merchandise with his mugshot. The historic image, in which Trump viciously stares into the camera, was taken after the ex-president voluntarily surrendered to authorities following his indictment on election racketeering charges in August 2023.

Because most of the survey participants (Iranians) have for the most part a very WESTERN CENTRIC VIEW OF THEMSELVES hence the unsurprising result on this survey.

These people think that they are a step above the Chinese people in perception not reality. That's true then and even to this day despite CHINA's massive improvements and leap in technology, economy, diplomacy, and military power. But for whatever reason, they don't hold the same dismissive contempt towards Japan, Taiwan and South Korea.
TFW Iranians are spiritually Indian.
Directly from BBC, The Financial Times, NYT... Russians love western europeans and hate chinese. They dont care of Napoleon, Hitler, now NATO, the blatant rusophobia, the pillaging in the 90s etc.

It is amazing how people believe this shit without even asking one russian about it.

Really, you dont need to do a lot of effort to check the opinions about Western Europe in Russian culture and russian current politics. E.g. anyone reading Dostoevski will see how crazy much he hated Western Europe. Same with 90% of russian philosophers and writers. What do think Glazyev or Western Europe? What do think Dugin?

Really people, stop spreading ignorance and western disinformation.

Russians will pick China over Western Europe 10000 times. This is so obvious that is blatant. Only reason for them to have relation with Western Europe was that western europe was rich. Now that is declining they dont give a fuck.
indeed, most Russians are orthodox Christian and still have wounds relating to the betrayal of the fourth crusade where Constantinople was sacked by a western Christian army. There’s a reason the Orthodox Christians said “better the Turkish turban than the popes tiara”.

Thats why he had to go to China and open another factory, it was either dedicate and invest a large amount of capital into China as penance or lose the Chinese market forever and subsequently lose Tesla and his Other projects and companies.

I simply am well read in history, and so did Mao. We came to same conclusions independently. General Patton also said "Wars may be fought with weapons, but they are won by men." You would not call Patton a Maoist would you?
