In American cities, especially NYC, drunk people piss everywhere. This guy wanted to start shit over someone peeing mostly on the sidewalk, note when he was on the phone 4/5 other guys were already on the other side of the street. One of the other guys come to try to deescalate, he could've easily walked away - instead he just cusses them out. When the initial confrontation starts, one of the 5 guys deescalated and they were already leaving before one of the brothers pushes the belligerent guy (who looked like he was just picking up his backpack - the way he was picking up his backpack does not support the brother's claim of reaching for a weapon at all). Then they initiated an altercation, and from the video of the fight it looks like again, it's the other party that begins backing off and trying to create distance. At that point, the two brothers could've just both went back inside, the other party was leaving. Instead he grabs a sword and challenges them. At the moment he initially walks out with a sword, the 5 guys had already left the area outside of their property. The one belligerent guy is an idiot so he talks towards the brother with the sword, but the location where the brother struck with the sword is clearly at least 2-3 cars away from his property. The brothers had multiple opportunities to walk away, instead they kept escalating until one of them slashed someone with a sword.

Again, those 5 guys should have been charged, especially the one that was acting the most belligerent. Its a miscarriage of justice that they weren't - but the brother that swung the sword definitely deserved to be charged as well.

Everyone in the city knows, don't start shit if you can't back it up (without using as word). If it had been a middle aged white lady calling the cops on some kids for peeing on a building/sidewalk - she'd be labeled a Karen by half the country. Yes, American cities are shitholes filled with homeless/criminals/garbage/human waste - but you can't go around swinging swords at people!

Unless actual changes are made (not optimistic towards chances of that happening), in the future there's going to be a pretty high chance of either another Great Depression or mass civil unrest scale.

North Korean officials make rare public visit to Iran​

A high-profile North Korean delegation is making a rare foreign visit to Iran, the state-run KCNA news agency has reported. The last time officials from Pyongyang made a publicly announced trip to Tehran was in 2019.

A delegation headed by North Korea’s minister for external economic relations, Yun Jong Ho, departed for Iran by plane on Tuesday, according to the agency. KCNA did not reveal further details about the visit.

In February, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un sent a congratulatory message to Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on the 45th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. Kim expressed confidence that “the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between our two countries forged on the road of joint struggle against imperialism will expand and develop in various fields.”

US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said last Tuesday that Washington is “incredibly concerned” about alleged cooperation between Tehran and Pyongyang in nuclear and ballistic missile development. The two countries remain under harsh international sanctions over their weapons programs.

Last week, South Korea’s spy agency, the National Intelligence Service (NIS), said it is “keeping tabs on whether the North Korean technology was included in Iran’s ballistic missiles launched against Israel, given the North and Iran’s missile cooperation in the past.”

Self defense is acceptable when there is imminent danger. This clearly wasn't the case when he used the katana.
