I have a love-hate relationship with the Filipinos. I could never understand or fathom the level of delusions most of them have against China especially when it comes to the South China Sea dispute and the worst chance that China and the Philippines goes to war. The Philippine military is a joke since it lacks all the necessary tools to fight what most experts around the world agree as one of the military superpower in the world - China. But try to watch or listen to any of that country's so called experts and you would think that they possess or in a position of strength militarily, economically, and or politically. In my opinion having lived in that country for at least a decade I find the Filipino bravado not too dissimilar from the Jai Hinds of India. Two countries that were beaten down by their colonial masters and yet act like they're some kind of undefeated warriors that can stare and even beat down a country like China.
While their media do not drop down to the level of creating fake news to cheat the masses like the Indians, nor are they as loud as Indian on social media, there are similar in the level of mental masturbation and false bravado. Quoting incessantly McArthur " Give me an army of Philippines soldier and ill conquer the world" "Battle of Yultong" Or "i may have to kill the same person 5 times (mindset still around Chinese human waves)" etc.

The "Battle of Yultong" f..ng irks me to no end where lately because of social media this little known battle has been broadcasted to the high heavens in the Philippines where most Filipinos who watch YouTube clips pushed by their social media influencers and pseudo-historians lap their propaganda (Filipino troops managed to defeat wave after wave of Chinese volunteer troops) without question. Then arrogantly assumes that military encounters with the PLA will happen in the same manner. Don't even get me started with that racist P.O.S. and megalomaniac MacArthur - the man called then Pres.Quizon a monkey. So many Filipinos are so enamored by that man not to mention his most famous words of "I shall return" describing his desire to return to the Philippine Islands after Imperial Japan forced his butt in retreat to Australia.

It is shocking to find many Filipinos posting crazy stupid comments against China in Social Media. I think they somehow feel that just because they can converse in English, they become an Englishmen.
Most of their comments are even devoid of logic.

Particularly in a country like the Philippines, the country is full of fifth column working on behave of another country even against the interests of its own. These people may occupy even the highest of offices, or have control over a big swath of the media. Duterte has done well in safeguarding the interests of his nation, but there are a lot of counter currents working against him. The next president may be owned by the U.S. as the guy before him was. Having control over your own fate is a luxury reserved only for a few countries you can count with fingers from one hand. Even a country like Germany is full of these fifth columns. The Philippines operate several level below Germany in terms of running its own affairs.

This happens to all countries that are rising. When the U.S. was rising, there were many jokes from Europe about how unrefined the Americans were. Most people in the third world are status seekers. By definition, if you are still rising, you haven't got any status yet. Status happens only after you have risen. The attitude of the Filipinos will change in a decade or two.

Lest you forget, the last time the Filipinos fought against the colonists, they ended up at the business end of genocide. And like India, their independence was "gifted" by the colonial power, instead of kicking them out at the tip of bayonets...the thing about such "independence" is that the old institutions, the avenues that the colonial masters assert its influence, remains even long after independence.

Those lot have been thoroughly broken by their master(s), even their perceived "rise" "freedom" is in reality a falsehood planted into their heads by those very colonial master(s).

Thus, it's no surprise that Filipinos and Indians shares the attitude of their respective "former" master(s) when China is the topic.

The exact reason why I refuse to share the belief in the whole "peaceful rise" thing, because it's simply perversion of nature, as true rise, without exception, invoke a liberal application of violence. Pretty much that China has to decisively defeat the incumbent colonial master(s), so those lot would first accept China as their new master - and perhaps from thereon, China could dust out those old revolutionary teachings and get their ideas straight...but China has long quit the business of "exporting revolutions"...

Lol they are simping hard to become an honorary "WHITE" race. There are exceptions but the large portion of their elites and regular folks are very pro-western, pro-America that if given the chance to leave their country for the west they would jump in a nano second.
