Simple. Shiv Aroor doesn't go into details. He never went into details. Ajai Shukla caught attention because he diverted significantly from the narrative of the establishment and the Army.
Lets take the case for China. If 98% of Chinese reporters stick to a narrative and the 2% doesn't - would they catch attention? Good.
Now imagine if the 2% reporter gives a far more detailed assessment of the issue and even new information - then even if the reporter is ANTI-PRC or ANTI-CCP, many people will tend to believe this reporter and start questioning the popular narrative.
Shive Aroor hasn't yet given his version of detailed lay of the land in Ladakh, has he? Hence.

Whoa. Whoever claimed Mr. Panag to be anti-truth? Almost everyone will welcome Panag to be as detailed in his rebuttal of Ajai Shukla. We all would enjoy that clash.
First of all, that is a false comparision, since China does not allow any journalists to report anything that goes against the state's narrative. Hence why there is no Chinese equivalent of Ajai Shukla.

And there is plenty of satellite imagery that contradicts his claims. Meanwhile, Shiv Aroor has never reported anything on the standoff that was proven to be factually incorrect. We cannot say the same for Ajai Shukla.

So what makes Shukla so accurate compared to respected journalists like Shiv Aroor? Especially since Shiv Aroor is far more reputable and has literally never reported anything incorrect during the recent standoff.

Shukla should at least try and produce some satellite imagery supporting his claim, instead of crude drawings that are supposed to be maps. Though of course, we all know satellite imagery has contradicted him on multiple occasions. Both Detresfa and Nathan Ruser have called him out multiple times.

According to you, all claims by Indian journalists should be taken seriously.
Shiv Aroor is a News anchor rather than a journalist. I think you also consider Arnab Goswami a legit journalist?

Here are just some of the Ajai Shukla appearance on well known foreign news. Why do foreign news invite Ajai Shukla for his expertise and not Shiv Aroor?

Bold 1 : Wrong. There are foreign journalists and citizen reporters in China. Sometimes foreign news agencies ally with citizen reporters spread across provinces. You don't know what you are talking about.

Bold 2: No there aren't.
We have seen the majority lot of them and Ajai Shukla himself remarks about them in this write up.

Shiv Aroor hesitates to go into details about anything. I've never seen a report worth reading from him. You may highlight a worthy and detailed one.

China produced 6.5 times more concrete a year than India. On per capita basis, india produced no more concrete than many developed countries, but India is not developed and ought to consume much more concrete per capita to become developed.

Did someone mentioned concrete? This remind me to take my poster down from my class room. I dont think India is in the same league.

The Wire interviews Col. Ajai Shukla (ret.) Author of the controversial article alleging that there was a clash between China and India in May...

Again Indian Politico Military leadership appears to be hiding facts from general public..India military tried to gain advantage in May and were repulsed by PLA,now PLA has taken some aggressive measures and may have given Indian Army a bloody nose(unconfirmed)..Galwan 2 is a possibility
