The other thing I'd point out is that when I talk about Brahmin dominance (i.e, all the bleeding educated Indians you meet overseas are Brahmins, all the good jobs in India are taken by Brahmins, and so on) you have to remember that Brahmins make up only about 5% of the Hindu population. They are an aristocracy that holds privilege.

I am anti-Brahmanical (i.e, against the caste system and its continuing influence in India life), but a transition to a casteless society may require the ascendancy of different classes. A Shudra-domination, for instance, would effectively be the negation of the caste system as within the traditional schema of Varnas, they are the lowest of the casted. But a Shudra-domination, given their lack of privilege is unfeasible, so the best practical option is for a Kshatriya-Shudra alliance to overturn the last vestiges of the caste system.

FRAYER: Mauktik grew up in a Brahmin family in India. Brahmins were the Hindu priests. They were long considered the most pure. Mauktik's family had separate kitchen utensils for other castes who might visit. And despite affirmative action to elevate oppressed castes, Brahmins still wield disproportionate wealth and power. They're an elite minority in India, but you might be surprised at how many Indian Americans are Brahmins - Silicon Valley CEOs, celebrities and politicians.

China has every reason to support separatist forces in Northeast Indian states such as Tripura, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Assam and Nagaland. China could even support the resurrection of Sikkim.
Except China has got nothing left to support as Indian Army has destroyed terrorist orgs in North East India. This year in 2020 only 4 security forces men got killed in whole of North East India.
Whereas in 2019 also it was only 5 (civilians killed in 2020 also only 5).

Thus from a peak of almost 300 security forces killed in 1997, we have succesfully brought it down to single digits. (98%+ decrease).

You mean fighting against the poor axe & hammer armed civilians? That's not how the "support" works dude.
And Indian army(!!) is currently busy supporting themselves by buying winter clothing

Far better armed than Bangladesh army infantry
Should be, given we are not in hurry to be part of some exclusive club unlike india's slum dwelling army who can't even feed themselves. That is least of our priority now.
If the need arises, we actually don't need a big army, we are the army.

Best winter clothing world.
Are those made by & made in china? Or Made by Euros & Made in China?

Your proposal completely falls apart based on the fact that the following groups sit outside the Hindu Caste System.

Muslims: 15% of the population
Untouchables: 15% of the population

That is 30% of the population, and that share is still growing.

All you are doing is swapping out which caste is on top in the Hindu system, and leaving other groups behind.

India is actually 80% Hindu, and Dalits are considered as part of the Hindu population. Dalits actually have a habit of converting to Islam because being a Hindu Dalit is setting them up for massive abuse and discrimination.

The other castes acknowledge that there is a place for each other in a Hindu caste/varna system.

In comparison, the Dalits aren't acknowledged as having a varna in Hinduism.

And the original point still stands, which is that your proposal for another caste to replace the Brahmins won't help the Dalits or Muslims, who comprise 30% of the population.

Actually, castes are still linked to privilege.

Yes, and Kshatriyas are one of the privileged castes themselves.

The core issue with India as is is both extreme religiosity and the Brahmin domination

Brahmins don't dominate India alone. The entire upper caste set does. You missed the fact that I pointed out - the current PM himself is from one of the lowest castes. Brahmins (and other UCs) overwhelmingly support him. You don't even have a baseline idea about India.

I recall asking a Brahmin friend in GoI to do what Chinese people did during the coronavirus crisis, which was to volunteer and put themselves in the line of infection to deal with the coronavirus crisis.

Response? "Nope, not part of my Dharma, Kshatriya job, etc etc".

Wut? Doctors from all castes have lost their lives. Many of them are Brahmins.

. He continued treating patients throughout this time and eventually succumbed to Covid himself . The entire government establishment was involved in this pandemic. Or did you think all Brahmins in India are sitting inside, doors locked, for last 7 months? Man you are giving me a very strong boomer vibe. People who grew up and formed their opinion about the world in the pre-internet era.

It's more that that. 20% are non-Hindu. 21% Dalit. 7% tribals. That's about half the population right there who are either entirely outside Hindu fold or has only one foot inside it.

What he is doing is pulling up simplistic social strata from an archaic era and using that to describe a complex modern society, giving the impression of some deep insights into India's problems. When in reality he doesn't have a clue. Words like ' Shudra-domination' has no political meaning. Indian scholars themselves don't use these words. Rather they use 'lower caste' or 'backward caste'. Then there is the fact that each caste is divided among multiple sub-castes who aren't entirely sympathetic to each other.

If one is very generous, it can be said he is using allegories. Which, isn't of much use. Simplifying complex social dynamics has a limit.
