Good luck with that strategy , lol.

Why not? China has plenty corporation leaders, diplomats and intelligence agents in India. They should all have their local contacts/friends who have certain influence in the political circle. Trump could have a private, frank and casual conversation with Xi while publicly yelling at China. You don't think some Chinese officials could, at this very moment, pick up a phone and call some of his Indian friends and have a friendly chat with them? You don't think some Chinese diplomats at the Chinese embassy in India could call some opposition leaders in India and have a discussion of domestic matters. Isn't that one of the key jobs of diplomats? Don't assume what's going on out in the open reflects what's going on behind closed doors and under the table.

India is losing Nepal

There is a war in the Nepalese Communist Party between Sharma Oli (Pro-China) and Prachanda (Pro-India)

The indian media have launched a lot of sexist attacks against the Chinese ambassador of Nepal (Hou Yanqi)
and hinted that she had an affair with President Oli

The conflict started when Nepal Parliament approved a new map that includes land India claims

I spent more than 2 weeks in Nepal last October and had some deep conversation with my tour guide on my way to EBC, my impression is that people in Napal like China more.

Recently I ran across a post on Weibo that stated India is importing a lot of sleeping bags from Europe and the U.S. I think they might be in it from the long haul.
This shows how weak the india manufacturing sector is. They can't even make their own sleeping bags. And they are still importing chemical fertilizer in large quantity from China despite the ban on Chinese imports.

You are talking about a country that still has to procure assault rifles and LMGs from foreign countries in 2020. The Indian manufacturing weakness really shows in their MIC.

Apparently the said sleeping bags were originally made in China!

Why are they buying these supplies now? Shouldn't they stock these important resources long ago? In time of need, they would simply move them out of warehouses and to the front line? Even for untrained civilians, we all have hurricane bags in our houses, with all the important supplies, like flash light, canned food, emergency medicine, etc. In time of a hurricane, we just grab the bag and go. Shouldn't the Indian government be more prepped than this? We all know how important the logistics is in time of war. How can the Indians expect to win with such poor logistics?

But but but they are boycotting made in china. Most sleeping bags I find here in Canada are made in china, doesn't matter if it's down fill or synthetic.

And just when you thought the Indian media could not sink any lower after the names of the 56 PLA dead debacle ... sigh

Why are they buying ammunition only now? I think the reason is that other countries might not sell to them during a conflict for upsetting China. Basically they need to stock up before the conflict happens. If they bought them earlier they may not have enough facilities to inventory them.
