Luckily I am not looking for validation from strangers in a defence forum.
Ok. I dont think anyone here does

I recognize this is a Chinese oriented forum with its obvious leanings.
Yes

In a defence or a security environment, human life unfortunately becomes secondary to larger aims.
Yes, however every country also has "face", if another country keeps murdering people then the other country will be forced to respond even if it is contrary to its strategy

I went through quite a few pages of this thread and most of the discussion centres on media writings and discussions in India.
I mean thats how normal people (members on this forum) can understand what is happening in India and how they think. Your media presents India's thinking on this issue which is why we post Indian sources here (even if we know that Indian media are mostly garbage...)

It would be better if the Chinese media thoughts on this conflict are also referred to. And i dont mean official media accounts
Agreed, however as I am sure you know, China's media system is different from the rest of the (democratic) world. So if we want to know China's official position then its official media networks are the gold standard.

Ofc even in these media there are different views and "flavours", (IMO) Global Times is the equivalent of UK's Daily Mail on its aggressiveness while other state media have a softer tone and view.

I would also note that China had an adult and serious way of talking with India when it even hidden its own casualties so that it could avoid home patriotism (and nationalism) from blowing up the talks between China and India

BTW the boss is on tour to inspect Tibet
Chinese President Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, has visited the city of Nyingchi in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. President Xi arrived at the Nyingchi Mainling Airport on Wednesday and was warmly welcomed by local people and officials of various ethnic groups. He then visited the Nyang River Bridge, to inspect the ecological preservation in the basin of the Yarlung Zangbo River and its tributary Nyang River.

On Wednesday afternoon, President Xi visited a local city planning hall, a village and a park in Nyingchi, inspecting the locality's city development planning, rural vitalization and city park building efforts. On Thursday, President Xi went to Nyingchi railway station, learning about the overall designing of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway and the operation of Lhasa-Nyingchi railway section, and then took a train to the regional capital Lhasa. He inspected the construction along the railway during the ride. Officially put into operation last month, the Lhasa-Nyingchi railway is Tibet's first electrified railway.

He then visit Lhasa
Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, on Thursday made an inspection tour of Lhasa, capital city of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. President Xi visited the Drepung Monastery, Barkhor Street and the Potala Palace square in Lhasa to learn about the work on ethnic and religious affairs, the conservation of the ancient city, as well as the inheritance and protection of Tibetan culture. He also chatted with local residents.

Well i disagree with most everything you have written . The official Chinese media ofcourse is covered in the Indian media but does China have a private media ? I have no idea. What does the average Chinese journalist or citizen think of the conflict ? Thats what i was referring to. Not looking for anecdotes from friends and family though.
This thread dissects a lot of tweets and analysis from civilian or ex army Indian "experts". I was looking for a similar Chinese non official perspective.
Their are ofcourse 1. 4 b Chinese citizens. Sime might be having a opinion on the clash.

Indeed. For that you may go to Chinese social media and journalists. The chinese don't speak in English but mandarin and it'd be reasonable to assume that most of their opinions and discussion are hidden behind the language barrier. Just like in every other country chinese have nationalists, jingoists, patriots, prejudiced, bigoted, friendly, peace loving people and they'd have their own unique take on the India China border clash.

But it is safe to say that to most Chinese, India and Indians doesn't register much of a presence. Unlike US and Japan and to lesser extend Russia, Korea and Vietnam.

(This is an english language forum. Discussions in mandarin or any other language is discouraged.)

The Dalai Lama has been for autonomy and against independence for years now, Tibetan independence is a dead issue. Even the Anglos have stopped beating that horse. They now prefer the Jihadist Ughurs.

The only reason his views have come to light is because of the news that Modi has been caught spying on him. What was he fleeing from again?

Comparing that picture of Tibet to your average Indian slum, Tibetans who left to live in India must be regretting their decision.

If they are so irked then why don't they improve the livelihoods of Tibetans as well by constructing poverty alleviation villages?
Tibetans are useful to India only for trying to play the "Tibet" card and cause trouble to China.

The joke is on them though, as the region is getting properly sinicized and all these games will be deleted as new generations of Tibetans will grow in wealth and with proper infrastructure and educational opportunities.

Lets wait another 10 to 20 years and see who will have prevail at the end..

This is the real battle that needs to be fought --- the war against poverty. Not some petty contest over how much expensive overrated weapons you can buy from foreign countries.
